What? Hmm. no. I mean I wouldn't have slapped him, but I would have turned around and asked him if he was serious

What happend to Bond jogging in the park in London? I wanna see that...all the lost footage I guess. Bond and Silva mano a mano should have happend(agreed with prior post). Otherwise why complain? It's a great Bond film. I'm very happy with this series after years of dissapointmenting delays and poor films. :)

How about if the final scene had M handing Bond his mission envelope wth "Risico" stamped on the outside of it. Kind of a "James Bond Will Return in ______' sort of thing.

Minor gripe, but I would have liked if the PTS had been able to be filmed in Mumbai, as originally planned. I'm getting tired of seeing Istanbul used over and over again in different films.

If anything I would have Daniel Craig deliver his last line an a different tone. The way he said M just....I don't like the way it sounds.

I chose something very minor because I really liked the movie. I think a full cut with the deleted scenes still in would be fantastic to see. But I don't need it to survive.

The Moneypenny scene at the end. Pretty clunky - "We've not been properly introduced" "Im Eve. Eve Moneypenny". That writing really wasnt up to par with the rest of the film.I know it was all the benefit of the classic ending, but I think Bond walking in and simply saying something like "Hello, Moneypenny" would have sufficed.

Overall though, about as perfect a Bond film I could hope for.

The film was pretty perfect the way it was. The only thing I would change is right at the end, where Bond gets the dossier from the new M...he opens it and sees the heading marked 'DR. NO', and THEN M asks him "Are you ready to get back to work?" And he says, "With pleasure..."

Okay, maybe 'DR. NO' would have been too obvious. But how about 'CRAB KEY'?

Jamie, for the Moneypenny scene, they should of left out Bond asking her name, and her reply, but instead as Bond heads to M's office, they could of just panned down and back as she pulled a desk name plate out of her pocketbook and placed it at the front of her desk. A much better "aha" moment if you ask me.

I think we should have heard M over the intercom..."Miss Moneypenny, send in Bond."

I do admit the whole "I don't think we've ever been properly introduced..." was a bit clunky. It seems hard to believe Bond never asked Eve her name before, especially when they were to go on a mission together. Still, I can accept it since it's still a fun scene and a great ending to the film. I do agree that having M simply say "Moneypenny, send in Bond" would have been good enough to let the audience know. Still, they obviously wanted to keep M a surprise too. That's why I say just leave it as it is.

He asked Fields for her name in QoS - "It might be useful to know your real name." But he didn't push her when she declined.

Agreed with the Moneypenny dialogue, a tad clunky, but oh well.

I wonder if I'd like to have seen a scene, while Bond is preparing Skyfall for the impending attack, where he momentarily stops at the chapel graveyard to look at his parent's tombstone. I don't know if this would've conflicted with his whole character arc, though, as it maybe seems Bond would rather not visit his past again.

Give severine more screentime and actually see her use her Beretta against Bond in bed......could had a reference to Dr.No that the Beretta is a lady gun and mention that it is a former service weapon for 00s or something......

In the words of Brosnan, point taken. ;)

I might have done with a bit fewer overt analogies to the Bond franchise itself. I felt slightly beaten over the head with the "sometimes the old ways are best" sentiment. Other than that, I really was pretty content.

I would have preferred it if Silva hadn't had hired a whole mercenary army at Rent-A-Goon. A smaller outfit - with perhaps a few recognisable faces - would have given a more intimate impression.

Then again that would have distracted from the triangle M-Silva-Bond, so probably better as is.

Yes, the lines about a proper introduction seem somewhat awkward in retrospect. Perhaps Bond should just have called her Moneypenny, end of?

That's exactly the moment I thought of when I saw the name of this thread, clunky is even the word I had in mind to describe it.

If there is one thing I could change, is getting rid of that stupid crack Bond about  ‘A waste of scotch’. After Severine was shot. It made him look like a callous so and so.  The line was really in the wrong place.

I'd have left out the gunbarrel all together. It's fine where it is, but it definitely feels a bit tacked on. The rest perfect the way it is. Oh, and I think the Moneypenny scene is lovely. The bit about enjoying one or two close shaves chokes me up. A very old school exchange.

Yep! Couldn't agree more. I don't see why they couldn't have had Tanner nod and say, "Moneypenny" when he comes out of M's office, she responds with "Tanner" and then Bond and she could have the close shave exchange. It would've been much more subtle and smooth, and we could maybe even have had a funny look of disbelief from Craig when he hears her surname for the first time.

It kind of disappoints me they named her Eve and no-one referred to her by name until the very last scene - if you're going to put fans off the scent with a misleading name, why not use that name during the film? Otherwise it's a bit pointless.

I love it but I would change 2 things.

Gunbarrel at the start

and

The ending at Skyfall lodge - it has been done too many times in other movies. The gravestones looks like something out of Harry Potter / Batman Begins.
