I'd also like to state for the record that ONCE UPON A SPY must be one of the worst titles ever reportedly considered for a Bond movie.

And a dreadful one, at that. Heck, I'd rather have them use the title BEYOND THE ICE (which I always suspected was just rumor, but given these titles, maybe EON did consider a title as lame as that for DIE ANOTHER DAY).

I would watch Once Upon A Spy, because it sounds like it stars Troy McClure.

So what titles can we make up that WOULD have fit Skyfall (though I quite like the title Skyfall!)?

Surely we can come up with something better than the alternate titles that were considered.

Perhaps BRAVE NEW WORLD or simply SILVA as alternatives, but I wouldn't be sure they're any better.

I far prefer SKYFALL though.

Well, just drawing on plot elements and lines of dialogue, I can think of several titles better than Once Upon A Spy :

Last Rat Standing
The Drive From London
To Hell With Dignity
Think On Your Sins
My Heart Will Go Boum

I'm the only one who likes "Once Upon a Spy"? Tho I admit it does sound a bit too much like a sixties Bond rip-off.

Wonderful! It actually isn't so bad as a title.

If Skyfall had been a Fleming novel, I suspect Last Rat Standing would have made a good chapter title, along with Ghosts from the Past or Old Habits Never Die.

A couple of years ago there was a rumor that the working title of Bond 23 was "Red Sky At Night". It wasn't given much credence at the time, but based on the Skyfall Lodge battle scenes it would have been appropriate.
