Would have been a good article circa-2008, but I don't think it accurately reflects Skyfall or, indeed, the current climate of popular film

What I found even more enlightening: before the Craig era people (and journalists in the first place) were quick to dismiss Bond as fluff. Now that Bond offers more they complain it´s not fluffy anymore.

The mainstream and especially the leftwing media used to hate Bond as an immoral, sexist, capitalist cold warrior, now he's suddenly sensitive, modern, gayfriendly etc.
Those descriptions came to mind when I saw CR last night - Craig was anything but sensitive in the early scenes in the bathroom.

The man who wrote this is article (probably) hails Roger Moore as the best ever Bond.
