Apologies if there is already a thread on this - I searched and couldn't find one.

As CR and QoS were released for home viewing in the spring after their cinema release, I'm guessing that SF will be with us in around four months or so. What special features would you like? Here's my list:

Deleted scenes
Ability to watch a branched extended cut that includes deleted scenes
Mendes and MGW commentary
Craig and Bardem commentary
Webisodes
Extensive making of lasting at least 1 hour
Bond 50 retrospective short doc (possibly 20 min version of Everything or Nothing)
Adele music video
Nov 2011 press conference

A DVD/Blu Ray thread is something we should have I reckon after the film is out globally, so I bet the Mods can pin the Skyfall DVD & Blu Ray Thread for us!



I'm betting for 2 disc Collectors Edition DVD - special exclusive cover? Maybe, maybe not.

For extras, I'd love the following (but going off 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum Of Solace', I can't hold my breath but being such a monumental year for Bond and the reaction to the film, I hope we get given what we deserve!):

• Cast and crew commentaries (Sam Mendes, Roger Deakins, Barbara Brocolli, Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem and Naomie Harris would be ideal)
• The 'Skyfall' web blogs
• 'The Making Of Skyfall' - A detailed process from beginning to end would be a treat
• 'Everything Or Nothing: The Untold Story Of 007' - The official EON documentary, celebtrating 50 years of 007
• 'Skyfall - Bond At 50' - Interviews about the wants and demands in making a special Bond film for the 50th Anniversary
• 'The Stunts Of Skyfall' - A short look at going back to basics for harder, real stunts filmed around the world
• 'The Music Of Skyfall' - A short look at new composer Thomas Newman and the challenge of scoring Bond
• 'The Characters Of Skyfall' - A short look at the old, and new, characters brought to the Bond table
• 'Reports from the Red Carpet' - Premier footage and interview
• Exclusive on-set interviews with the cast and crew about the 23rd installment of the world's biggest film series
• Deleted scenes with an introduction to each by Sam Mendes
• 'Skyfall' Music video
• Trailers and TV Spots
• Behind the scenes photo gallery

Something like that, would be so nice to see.


Oh, maybe a special bonus disc filled with bonus footage of Berenice Marlohe's screentests, photo shoots, interviews etc? Please, EON?

Has such a feature ever appeared on a Bond DVD release? Although I'm sure deleted scenes will be included, I would be very surprised if a whole separate cut could be watched. I suspect the editing and music and so forth would be fouled up by the inclusion of deleted material.

Special features aside, I'm hoping that they offer a version where the disc matches the rest of the Bond 50 set. Ideally they'll have the standard DVD/Blu-ray release as well as some type of online exclusive through Amazon or the official store or something for a "disc only" version that matches with Bond 50 so I won't be stuck with an empty case/cover art and a disc that looks silly alongside the other matching discs in the set.

Nice idea Double-0, but I fear we wont be thought about that much for that to happen, which is a shame as they've obvisouly made effort to provide us with a case for the 'Skyfall' DVD / Blu Ray - so they expect those who want to fill the collectors edition to bin a case.

All I want is a cool sleeve with Bond (from the teaser poster) on the front and on the back, the 50th Anniversary Logo. I think that would be awesome and classy.

The German BD/DVD is announced for March 1.

Pretty tight window for the theatre release - but that´s the way things go now.

Btw, the movie itself is so good that I'd be happy with just the film' but please Sony/MGM, ignore me, I'd like a full DVD edition a la 1999 or 2006's UE

Much as I'd love loads of extras, I fear that it'll be a one Blu ray release simply because there's only one available slot in the box set. One blu = not many extras. Still the film is so magnificent that it doesn't really matter.
