The House of Wax in Great Yarmouth is closing down. Hard to imagine why when you see the quality of their attempted recreation of Sir Sean Connery. Incredible...

Dame Judi's expression is very well captured by the waxwork artist, but Craig head looks a bit like those reconstitutions of prehistoric men you sometimes see in museums, don't you think?

Still, honestly, I am yet to understand what's fun about waxworks.

Sorry, I've posted in the wrong place. Thought this was a YOLT thread.

Ta dum.

Seriously, Great Yarmouth's SC looks like he's escaped from the set of Captain Scarlet......

Looks like they hired the same craftsmen as on that abysmal Premiere Collection action figure series from the 90's

How on earth can they claim that is Sean Connery?? And what's with the suit? When did Connery ever wear a periwinkle blue suit with ruffles? (If he ever did, you can't blame me for surpressing my memory of it.)

That's not just a bad likeness. It's UN-likeness. Are you sure you got the right pic, Vauxhall?

It's the one labelled as such on various websites, so I've only got their word for it.

Having seen some of their other efforts, I'm not surprised though:

They could slap a rumpled suit on it and sell it to the Nixon Library.

This reminds me of a time back in school when we were doing a history exam and my friend (the village idiot) was failing miserably, so he drew this really, really bad picture of Mussolini, thinking it would improve his mark.

It did not.

Actually, the complexion is pretty close to his appearance in Never Say Never Again. Maybe that's what they were going for.

Those must be the worst waxworks I've ever seen! And I've seen fee quite crummy ones in a cheapo amusement park where Hitlers waxworks looked like it was from the props department of The Living Daylights...
