I liked the opening sequence but I think it was ruined slightly by the trailer giving too much away. Of course we know Bond isn't going to die (d'uh) but him being shot by Eve would have been quite a shocking way to conclude the sequence. As it was, we all knew how the sequence would end because of the trailer.
What did you think of it? Better than CR's opening sequence?

Not for me, the CR PTS still rules.

Loved it. It wasn't as good as the one in CR, but it was far more old-school in a good way.

Far better than the 'Casino Royale' opening titles, but that is a very different style of course, in a leage of its own as a big 'reboot', so that almost is stand-out on its own.
'Quantum Of Solace' had a blistering opening, one of my favourites in the series.
'Skyfall' tops them both for me in the way I enjoyed seeing and hearing Bond, Eve and M as one team, a true MI6 operation. The action was brilliant and wasn't too fast for me to follow and the pull back shot of Istanbul as the bikes crossed the Grand Bazaar was stunning.
The final moments on the train as Eve line up the shot is one of the most thrilling in the series as the tension racks up, and for those not aware of the situation, I think it will be a great moment for them to see.
Well executed, great fun and very Bond.

Yeah it's the best Craig one yet, mainly because it feels like a proper, chunky PTS - Casino Royale was more an introductory epilogue & Quantum of Solace for some reason decided to whack the credits right in the middle of its PTS.
That said, the action didn't wow me like the free-running opening CR stunt did. I'm not sure Mendes can direct action quite as well as Campbell.

I think I liked the action more than 'Casino Royale' and the free-running. This felt more Bond than the free-running stuff. It was brilliantly shot and well directed but I still think Bond is almost too super-human in what he does. He's a machine!
Still, at least the 'Skyfall' opening was well shot, smoothly edited and enabled lots of relationships to be forged in such a short space of time. Plus, Bond wasn't as invincible as he seemed in 'Casino Royale's fight!

I thought it was well cool. Maybe even more so because I'd managed to avoid all the trailers, other than the short one before The Bourne Legacy in the movie theatre; I didn't even listen to the Adele song 'til Friday night..

Thought it started strong, with a nice bit of offensive driving and doing a great job of bringing Eve into the fold, but then recycled elements from previous Bond’s started creeping in (riding a motorcycle over roof tops, using construction vehicle as a weapon). When it got down to two guys doing the over familiar duking it out on top of a train thing it had begun to drag for me. I thought the last two PTS felt much fresher.
