Its been great being a part of the CBn community and following the production of SF while celebrating the 50th Anniversary with other 007 fans.

lol 10 days! I want to have a James Bond watching marathon, except I don't have all the bond movies. I think my mom was planning on sending me some of them but she never did.

Well it always comes out earlier in the UK, normally a big premiere and what not, you can like go and see it for charity or something? I don't know I'm not from there but I think it is something like that. But I so agree very annoying to have to wait the two weeks, but you know what knowing that we have a pretty special Bond film on the way is pretty cool. Staying spoiler free and I'm gonna see it in IMAX at midnight! Can't wait almost just a week!Am I the only one hugely annoyed that we in the US have to wait two weeks after the UK premiere? I did a Google search and could find no statement by Eon giving their reasoning behind the delay. It's not as if Bond isn't big here after all. I am pretty pi**ed about this.

No, I've been annoyed by this for years. They do it every time. Correct me if I'm wrong too, but I think QoS was even closer to 3 weeks. The original date was 11/7 and was pushed to 11/14. I can understand the premiere being a few days early and in the UK, but why does the film have to release two weeks later. It takes mere seconds to transmit data across the planet, surely they can get a copy of the film stateside in a reasonable time frame.

Has a Bond film ever been released on the same date in the UK and US? Or within a few days of each other?
GoldenEye actually premiered and opened in the US prior to in the UK...
