I thought we North American's should have our own countdown to Skyfall thread.
Its been great being a part of the CBn community and following the production of SF while celebrating the 50th Anniversary with other 007 fans.
Only 13 days to go! and 3 days before I start reposting the countdown images lol.

Jesus, this is harder than I thought! I went, 2-3 days off of here. Well, I'm staying completely free of the Skyfall threads.

LET THE NORTH AMERICAN COUNT DOWN BEGIN!

A hurricane, a presidential election, and a new Bond film. It's all so boring, Margo.

I'd pay real money for the election to be over with already.

I've already got my ticket for the 12:07AM November 9th showing. The suspense is killing me and it's really hard trying to avoid Bond spoilers on the internet now. I commend CBN for always giving "spoiler alerts". I really wish it was only a 1 week delay instead of this cruel 2 week delay!!!

I've been enjoying watching the Bond films again, I was putting it off until up too the release of SF and have finally started watching 2 films a night and plan to watch them for 2 weeks until the North American release. :)

Thanks for the great countdown x007AceOfSpades! It helps ease the pain of the wait. I just gotta bite the bullet. I'll probably watch some old Bonds again in the interim.

Am I the only one hugely annoyed that we in the US have to wait two weeks after the UK premiere? I did a Google search and could find no statement by Eon giving their reasoning behind the delay. It's not as if Bond isn't big here after all. I am pretty pi**ed about this.

Well it always comes out earlier in the UK, normally a big premiere and what not, you can like go and see it for charity or something? I don't know I'm not from there but I think it is something like that. But I so agree very annoying to have to wait the two weeks, but you know what knowing that we have a pretty special Bond film on the way is pretty cool. Staying spoiler free and I'm gonna see it in IMAX at midnight! Can't wait almost just a week!

The wait is killing me! Iraq, Kuwait, China, Russia, and Vietnam are just SOME of the countries that get to see it before North America!!! Isn't MGM a U.S. company? Albert R. Broccoli was born in New York and Harry Saltzman was born in Canada. I hope North America gets the DVD/Blu-ray release 2 weeks before the rest of the world!!! :)

No, I've been annoyed by this for years. They do it every time. Correct me if I'm wrong too, but I think QoS was even closer to 3 weeks. The original date was 11/7 and was pushed to 11/14. I can understand the premiere being a few days early and in the UK, but why does the film have to release two weeks later. It takes mere seconds to transmit data across the planet, surely they can get a copy of the film stateside in a reasonable time frame.

I think I'm watching Casino Royale over the weekend. But I can't do a pre-SF bondathon...papers and exams. Don't forget to vote, Bondians in the States.

A charity screening of SKYFALL for victims of Hurricane Sandy would be cool.

I love the countdown pictures! Anyway I guess I wouldn't really be annoyed about it because James Bond is a british character/invention so it makes sense if James Bond is released there first, besides most movies are released here first..

Has a Bond film ever been released on the same date in the UK and US? Or within a few days of each other?
