Who thinks we should have a henchwoman for Bond 24?

In the past we have had some great henchwomen like Fiona Volpe, Helga Brandt and May Day. I think it'd be a good idea if the new rebooted Bond brought some bad girls into the equation, we had a hint of it from Valenka from Casino Royale (2006) but i think we need one with a bigger personality.

What do you think?

Could be fun, especially since Craig has not encountered one yet.

Why the hell not - feminism and all that!

We've had some legendary henchwomen in previous films, so I think it's Craig's turn to face one!

Absolutely, why not? Fiona Volpe ruled, they should use her as a touch stone IMO.

I think we need one that stays bad throughout the film and has a face off with either Bond or the Bond girl?

Maybe. Throw him up against a less cheesy Xenia Onatopp, all sex and strangulation. Could be much fun.

I kind of thought Severine might be that kind of part in Skyfall but, well... she wasn't.

That's what I thought when she said thats where she drew her inspiration, but I'm not sure I think they need an original kind of trait if they're going to create a new Bond henchwoman, but maybe have hints of past ones. Maybe we could have the henchwoman riding a motorbike (Fiona Volpe) or they could even use Fiona Volpe's death as inspiration?

I wouldn't replicate anything, just go with that spirit of a villainess. If it wasn't played too OTT, could easily fit the Craig films.

Yes, a proper henchwoman. Not a closet baddie who comes out in the last ten minutes, but a bona fide bastard from the outset. Either a Volpe-style spitfire or a Bunt-style evil grandma, I don't mind.

Yes we should. This shouldn't be a question, this should be truth.

They definitely need to have a character like this return to the series. I'd like to see another on in the same style as May Day, a female villain or henchwoman that can physically either match or surpass Bond.

Considering Craig's level of physicality and brutality, she'd have to take a lot of vitamins.

lol In that case, maybe it's time to check and see

if Grace Jones as a daughter. Though Rosa Klebb literally went toe to toe with Bond...and won :)

Yes to the henchwoman thing. Maybe Helen Mirren? Sexy as hell. Always has been. Heck, she can be the main baddie.

Personally I'd like to see a female Big Bad.

Except, y'know, done well, and with less "It eez my oil" shenanigans.

Oh Thank Goodness! When I read the title of this thread I thought the OP meant someone who was going to physically kick Bond’s behind. And I thought oh no! the male fans are going to be up in arms of having their precious James Bond schooled by a girl.
But when Fiona Volpe (my favourite Bond villainess) was raised I could not contain my excitement. Yes it would be nice to see Bond go toe to toe with a woman/or be bested by a (convincing) female adversary. Someone who truly embodies the dangerous aura that Bond girls are supposed to have.

It would be great to see another female henchwoman. She doesn't necessarily have to be physically bigger or stronger than Daniel Craig, but it's essential she be a really, really nasty piece of work.

Rosa Klebb was, on the surface, just a little old lady, yet she was not only terrifying, but, in the end, physically intimidating, too!

If we look back at previous Bonds, you'll notice that nearly every James Bond has had a villainess in one or most of their movies apart from Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig (if you don't count Valenka - but come on who does?)

- Sean Connery: Miss Taro, Rosa Klebb, Bonita, Fiona Volpe, Helga Brandt and Bambi & Thumper.

- George Lazenby: Irma Bunt

- Roger Moore: Rosie Carver, Naomi, May Day, Pan Ho, Jenny Flex

- Pierce Brosnan: Xenia Onatopp, Cigar Girl, Elektra King, Miranda Frost

Daniel Craig needs his villainess and soon!

Yes I would welcome a female henchwoman or even main villain.

I think a main villain would be cool. It hasn't been done since the World is not Enough.

Yes, a main female villain would be pretty cool. I can see Bond now:

"I don't usually hit women...but for you, I can make an exception...."
