It's amazing how people are so quick to dis DAD's invisible Aston Martin, yet will accept a GFRP-bodied Lotus packed with enough gear to convert it into an armed dry-submersible - thrity-five years ago! Video camoflage is already being perfected, yet Wet Nellie remains the stuff of fantasy.
Still, love the movie, love the car, love that James...

Ya the car chase is one of the best in the series if you ask me.
I love how you see Jaws swimming away like Darth Vader after the Death Star explosion.

Believe it or not, I always enjoy the MR PTS more then TSWLM's, perhaps because it has Jaws. I just find it exciting.

Strange, in that they came out only 2 months apart. Wonder if that was added as a result of that scene. Jaws was meant to die in the original script. As for the PTS, I like MR's too. It's weird though that as far as the rest of Moonraker is concerned, falling out of an airplane without a parachute seems relatively tame.

I didn't realize they're release dates were so close, and I never noticed the connection until now, I wonder did they know Jaws was going to return in MR when they shot him swimming away....

While I've always enjoyed Roger Moore as Bond, The Spy Who Loved Me really struck the best balance with its approach to the material, and it brought out the best in Moore.
The only weak link, in my opinion, is the villain. Stromberg just doesn't interest me much as a villain, and I don't find him remotely as appealing as, say, Scaramanga or Hugo Drax.

I think the reason Stromberg may not be totally interesting is his simple lack of screen time. I think his total screen time is like 12 minutes. But for those few minutes he is, he comes off as a cerebral maniac a la Auric Goldfinger.
I agree he needed more screentime.
