Grief - all the f--king about with the sound is terrible. I feel for Norman Wanstall, and having heard the revised sounds, specifically for Thunderball, I would hope whoever was responsible was summarily let go. Terrible.

As for the rest of the review, there has been some positively exhaustive work put into this to pick apart the various sound and video changes. I had absolutely no idea that such machinations were at work.

For my part, I am still with the Special Edition set but for each and every subsequent set (UE / BluRay), I have seen reasons why not to reinvest. Even the Lowry work gave me reasons for thinking the work was ovre-egged in places.

Very well done to Kevin Harper, the reviewer, for this work. Very well worth reading.
