The producers have set the bar high this year, the number of Oscar nominated and winners working on the film is impressive and the team have obviously put a lot of time into making this the best possible film they can.
My predictions:-
Oscars:-
Best Film: Nominated (I don't think the oscars are ready to name a Bond film best film however good)
Best Director: Nominated
Best Actor: Daniel Craig: Nominated
Best Actress: Judi Dench: Won
Best Supporting Actor: Javier Bardem
Best Original Screenplay: Nominated
Best Original Song: Nominated
Best Original Score: Nominated
Best Cinematography: Won
Obviously this is very unlikely, The Academy rarely nominate a Bond film for even the smallest of categories, but I can hope.
BAFTAs
Best Film: Nominated
Best British Film: Won
Best Actor: Daniel Craig: Won
Best Actress: Judi Dench: Won
Best Supporting Actor: Javier Bardem
Best Original Screenplay: Nominated
Best Original Song: Nominated
Best Original Score: Nominated
Best Cinematography: Won
Best Editing: Nominated
Best Production Design: Nominated
Best Costume Design: Nominated
Best Visual Effects: Nominated
The Baftas are much more favourable to Bond fIlms, with Casino Royale doing very well.
What are your predictions? You could include other awards as well, like the Globes etc. I've just included the two that I feel are most important in the US and the UK.

I think it will do well over in the UK with the BAFTAS, certainly a good dose of nominations and hopefully some wins for Daniel Craig and the other cast. Also, smaller awards like the EMPIRE Film Awards may honor the film.
Fingers crossed it does well!

A handful of BAFTA nominations would be very cheering indeed though.

Other than that, it's Bond, so wait for the BAFTAS for a handful of awards.

It doesn't matter if Skyfall gets re-edited as Citizen Kane 2. It ain't ever getting nominated for best picture. Just ain't gonna happen.
Once again, I can't disagree with you more. The whole reason for the expansion of the best picture nomination field to 10 nominees was because of the backlash over the Academy's failure to nominate The Dark Knight for Best Picture despite its box office and critical success. The nomination field was expanded precisely to make room for films like Skyfall - Critically lauded, well-made mainstream films that transcend genre stereotypes I'm not saying Skyfall has any chance of actually winning best picture, it doesn't. Rather, the expanded nomination field is meant to allow for token nominations of beloved mainstream films, which also has the added bonus of increased ratings for the awards ceremonies.
Skyfall even has several advantages in regards to nomination that The Dark Knight did not possess. In particular, Mendes and Logan are far more popular with the Academy than Nolan or his collaborators (as demonstrated by what many consider to be the Academy's repeated snubbing of Nolan for Best Director). Thus, I think, in terms of political factors (which is what really matters when it comes to the Oscars), Skyfall has a good chance of picking up some major nominations, including most likely for best picture.

I think that Roger Deakins is in with a shout, Adele's song might get nominated, and best supporting actor/actress nominations for Javier Bardem and Dame Judi Dench. But I think SF may do far better at the BAFTAs, in terms of nominations and awards. Home advantage.

the only hope i have 4 Oscars are editing, sound & cinematography
imo it can win a Globe. Im like 90% sure it will!
Dench has more chances with her Marigold Exotic hotel film
Bafta I can predict lots of noms even acting ones & Mendes is possible.
