What a clever idea, to incorporate the original James Bond into a story set in the Caribbean and have the Young Bond author play the role. Someone was having great fun with this concept.

You know the main page photo of Charlie was actually taken by me at his L.A. SilverFin signing. Athena is sitting right next to him. It's also shown up in Newsweek and as the official author photo in two YB German editions.

He was on Lauren Laverne's show on BBC 6music earlier this week talking about his new book, a bit of Bond. It'll be on iPlayer. I don't think he mentioned this, though!
I'd forgotten that Christie had written about James Bond before even Fleming did: good spot Silhouette!
