Fantastic attention to detail - great logos, music and artwork.
Pierce Brosnan signed us off with 'GoldenEye' early this morning and it was fine stuff to end the channel. Just have to wait for the Top Bond moment countdown at the end of the year.

Bond is Back - even though he’s never been away
The Sky Movies 007 Channel is to return on January 1st 2013.
It initially launched on October 5th and hundreds of you celebrated with a special Bond day across our all of our sites - check out some of the pictures here.
The channel was on air for a month and although it’s now gone from the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), all the Bond movies are currently still available On Demand for customers to enjoy.
“The 007 channel was a huge hit with our customers,” Ian Lewis, Director of Sky Movies told today@sky, “and so we’re bringing it back in the New Year. You’ll find it in the same slot, Channel 303, on the EPG.”

A new promo has been completed for the re-release of the 007 HD Channel.
It will premiere on the screens on Boxing Day, but herewith a screen capture making further use of the Gun Barrel idea.
...
FFS - Needless to say I still can't post anymore images and I still can't find out how to delete that which I am already supposed to have posted. Have tried to split the code up in this post for others' thread insertion but it still recognises that I have made an error by posting too many images and won't even let me post anything with an IMG tag.
Given up. If anyone can still post images on this venerated board, let me know and I can PM the IMG tags.

I've also just seen the promo. Very excited for the channel to be back!
Simon - if you PM me the IMG tags, I'll try to upload it.

Duly sent sir.
Bit of a faff for what will be out there in moving image form very shortly, but there we go.
Cheers.

Just got the exact same error trying to post the screen grab. Sorry folks.
It's not a perfect solution, but here's a link to the image: http://img829.images...7screengrab.jpg

That's actually the finale of the opening gunbarrel sequence. We see a bit of each actor walking across the screen, and then it expands to show them all. Fairly similar to this video from a while back:

I'm sure it is Vaux, I loved the 'Everything Or Nothing' one - I wonder how they will stage it, to make DC appear more central and the other actors further back - not sure about the 'DAD' bullets, but we'll see.
Not long to wait!

The gunbarrel itself looks very lovely- very metallic.
So how long will the channel last for this time?
(I'm baffled by the lack of image posting ability on this board now too. And the hideous quote tags)

The promo is a 30 second affair this time around and I couldn't download it from the intranet.
The gunbarrel is as you say, very metallic and very lovely. Similar in concept to the EoN gunbarrel but this time the dot tracks left to right to pick up each of the actors, it opens up to show all six, they fire, the bullets fire towards the viewer, there is a momentary slo-mo of the bullets before they pick up speed and come to camera before the ensuing intercut shots from the films.
It ends with the QoS line at the end, M asking if Bond will come back to which he replies, I've never been away.
(I think)
I have asked the guy for a quick chat about the gunbarrel - we will see what he has to say come the new year.

SKY MOVIES are relaunching their 007 channel (303) on New Year's Day 2013. They kick off proceedings with a 90 minute documentary looking at BOND'S GREATEST MOMENTS at 7pm. The great and the good, some Bond stars and more (and maybe a bullet catcher like myself) are all taking part and it promises to be a fun starting pistol to Sky's Bondfall with a few interesting "best" moments concluding with viewers and the contributors greatest Bond moment.

Hmm. Just a little bit OTT!
The gunbarrel's very nice, though. Maybe a bit weird that everyone's bullets change direction in mid-air!

Yep, I actually thought the bullets ruined it.
Still good though.

Whose bullets change in what direction in this ad - are you confusing the ident with the advert for the second time around for the 007 channel? The ident has no bullets...

I can't grumble about them, and the bullets aren't THAT bad!
I loved them, and can't wait for Bonds return - well done Sky, yet again!

Yes, I was talking about two different things in different paragraphs! Sorry, I should have made that clearer. The ident is rather OTT (I'm not sure they needed to fit every Bond element into it!); and in the advert the Bonds' bullets all travel down and then up in a rather strange manner.
