According to this Showbiz 411 article ( http://www.showbiz41...as-for-hamlisch ), there was a tribute to Marvin Hamlisch at Juilliard in New York last night.

Lots of celebs in attendance, though no Bond people it seems.

Aretha Franklin sang a rewritten version of Nobody Does it Better. I wonder what lines were changed?

I'm not sure what you are asking me Simon.

Showbiz 411 said that the lyrics to the song were rewritten.

I have no idea why or how, it is why I started the thread.

My assumption is that the lyrics were tailored to commenorate Hamlish, but again I don't know, it is why I was asking.

I think that's the only reasonable assumption, to commemorate Hamlish.
