Probably just a goofy Amazon listing. Adele and Newman most likely? Maybe another artist is also contributing as well?

I'm hoping for an Underneath the Mango Tree remix myself.

Just kidding!

Interesting - will the French edition really be released on Oct 22nd?

Any French Bond fan, please, tell us if you get the CD.

29th of October now for UK fans - at a decent price too, £9. Quite thoughtful to actually push it back and release it after the film so not to spoil anything with the track listings.

No-one can forget 'The Phantom Menance' being out a couple of weeks before the film with the track title "Death Of Qui-Gon". Smooth.

Interesting? Yes. But the real date of interest is the great unknown. The date when someone will grab a preview copy or a finished copy from a replication plant or warehouse and uploads it to the Internet.

I'll be quite glad if it comes out after the film. I'll be looking forward to having a listen to a track to see what the feel's like, but it'll be nice to save the whole thing for the film.

I've had a listen to the whole soundtrack and I'm kinda luke warm on it. Some very good tracks but all quite short and will gain more context when seen with the movie. And it's out of order from what I can see. So when we get a better idea of the correct listen order, it might make a difference. Will be giving a good few listens before Friday :-)

I'm still quite uncertain about the soundtrack and Thomas Newman's suitability to do a Bond film. Hope it's more George Martin/Bill Conti than Michael Kamen/Eric Serra and includes the title song in the arrangements as well as the Bond theme.

...and like the original Casino Royale soundtrack, it doesn't have the title song though I'm sure it will come out in an expanded form.

But in today's digital age, this may not matter too much.

Komodo Dragon has the theme music in it.

I have just bought the CD so cannot comment on the disc itself yet, although from the track listing it contains all the major cues from the film. I saw SF on opening day here in the U.S. and thought the score was fantastic and wholly successful relative to the action and the mood of the film. It is without a doubt better than anything Arnold wrote, and I hope Newman returns for Bond 24.

I received mine a minute ago. I'm a little disappointed that its not a Gatefold, because its (the first) Double-LP of an Bond-Soundtrack. But you get a 16page-Booklet with photos of the actors.

But it is the first Bond soundtrack released on vinyl since 1989 and that is to be celebrated!

I received my Christmas present to myself a couple of days ago... the SKYFALL double LP.  Very nice indeed.  Pressed on heavy duty 180 gram vinyl.  The super-sized booklet is also a nice inclusion.  Makes me wish someone would press limited edition vinyl releases of GE - QOS.  I would certainly buy them.  Regardless, this SKYFALL vinyl sounds terrific via my vintage Marantz and Denon system.  Happy!

Absolutely, ggl!  If you are a vinyl enthusiast, I cannot recommend it more.  It has been pressed in limited quantities so order soon if interested...

Thanks. I have some Bond on vinyl (GF, LALD, LTK...) and Skyfall could be really amazing...

I have bought on Ebay the FYC 2 cd version of Skyfall and although it's a nice collector's item, it's not realy something I can recommend for the extra music.

There's only ca 5 minutes more music on it, compared to the retail version. I have no idea what music is/are the extra track(s), because the tracks are completely different named and also spliced into more shorter tracks.
