Good Evening ladies and gentlemen...and Jim! Welcome to my special CBn Bond50 Academy Awards to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of James Bond, 007.

I'd like to announce a series of awards to be handed out to lucky winners over the 50 years of current James Bond films, ranging from the cast, crew and musicians who have helped make the series what it is.

This is simply, as we all know, just for fun, and I have included nominees that may suprise you, but I've tried to be broad minded and avoid the most obvious choices for you to choose from.

I would like to announce the winners at a non-star studded event on Friday 5th October 2012, Global James Bond Day, here on the CBn forum.

Please take a look at the categories (taken from official movie award lists) and choose ONE winner from each, and PM me your selection. The nominees will be tallied and the winners announced on that day in a glitzy black-tie and slinky cocktail dress event hosted by myself, thecasinoroyale, for all you fellow 007 fans and psyiological freaks.

Also, we have a special award: The CommanderBond.net Special Member Recognition Award. This award should be a current member of the forum and someone who lifts your spirits, or provides laughs when you are low, or fuels plenty of Bond discussion, or who generally you think is a helpful chap...or chapette. Just nominate a member, and the ones with the most votes will win the award, and can officially put it on their signature if they so wish so everyone knows how loved they are amongst the community!

So without further ado, the nominations for the Bond50 Academy Awards are now open. Make your choice, and join me back here on Friday October 5th. Oh, and have a laugh after all.

Good-night. Bless your hearts!

Thanks AMC.

I understand the favourites not being nominated - this was really hard to just stick with 6 from all the films and a part of me knew that firm favourites like Telly Savalas, 'TSWLM' pre-title stunt and others would win hands down so I was tempted to really try and use under-rated or lest rememberd, but still fantastic, characters and moments...

... like I say, they're all winners and I was never going to get them all spot on... but keep them coming, it's going well!

Thanks lechero!

And you're quite right Messervy - I got some nominations from films I thought seserved a nod. It's actually got some of the more forgotten or under-rated films/events as there are ones I know win outright, like the parachute jump in 'The Spy Who Loved Me' for example so thought I'd let others have a go.... rest assured through, I've sadly not got EON's backing for this so don't hold me to anything! ;)

I am disgusted I got those mixed up - of course it wasn't Mitchell in Bolivia! You can tell this was my last nomination of a long, blurred list. Thanks for the nod Vauxhall and many apologies to all.

Thanks for the votes guys...

I thought you were referring to the hotel room fight, not the one swinging on the ropes! Nonetheless, my vote still goes to Bond vs Grant on the Orient Express in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE. ;)

I know, I cocked that one up right from the start. Still, I don't think Daniel Craig's had a decent fight to match some of the others...please ignore! ;)
