Many people queued online and on the phone this morning with the Royal Albert Hall for ages before finding out all tickets had been sold. Now, back in 1995, members of the JBIFC were invited to a lunch at Planet Hollywood which was preceded by the Press screening of Goldeneye in a near deserted Odeon Leicester Square well before the Royal Premiere. An excellent day was had by all. Now if only something like that could be repeated this year, and so the REAL Bond fans could have a look-in rather than ticket touts who abuse the system.

Well said.

But there may have been as I mentioned further up.

Monday they said that there were some for sale but that you had to give some code or other to do with a James Bond fan club. Which fan club, they didn't know - and nor do I.

A question for those who got tickets over the phone. Have you received any kind of confirmation, an e-mail perhaps? The money has gone out of my account, I have a booking reference number and I gave my e-mail address when I bought them. I guess I assumed that the address would be used to send me my ticket details but perhaps not.

The tickets will be sent by post two weeks prior to the event.

No email received, but I did call back the day after to confirm things and everything seemed to be in place.

Hi Bond25, Skyfall premiere tickets for Royal Albert Hall, London are available on resellers site, but at very high price around £700 ,

No offence Compare Tickets, but we dedicated and long-serving fans of the franchise shouldn't have to pay a 92% rise on the original price to see a film we have a genuine interest and passion for, rather then buying from those who wish to capitalise on fans and make bucket loads of money who couldn't get a ticket, but wish to be part of the experience.

The fact these ticket touts bought them in the first place with intention to sell on so much is disgusting, not to mention highlighting it.

I admit the prices are quite high at resellers, die hard fans always do face the problem when they don;t get the tickets....but the info is for the one's who actually can afford it, atleast they won't miss it. Even you and me can't stop reselling. I know it hurts... :(

For those of us fortunate enough to get tickets, has anyone found out any info on the premiere: whether it's black tie or not, arrival times, etc?

I am guessing all this will be made known on the tickets.

However, am absolutely sure it will be black tie and even if not stipulated, it will be standard dress nonetheless. And the RAH says it is a 7.00pm start.

Just wondering, has anyone who was lucky enough to get one, received their tickets for the premiere yet? It's a week away and I'm getting a litte nervous.

I spoke to the RAH this morning.

The tickets were supposed to have been printed and issued a week ago - two weeks prior to the event. The chap saw a note on his system to suggest that the tickets were printed late and will be posted tomorrow. If they haven't arrived by Friday, to give them a yell so they can arrange alternate tickets to be picked up on the door. They also said they post stuff second class.

Cheers.

I chose "Box Office Collection", so I will have to collect my ticket on the 23rd from door 12.

So I need to know before if this will be a black-tie only event.

Thanks Simon, that puts my mind at ease. Did the box office confirm the dress code, by any chance?

Great photo there.

I've booked an overnight stay in london for the premiere, I don't have tickets, but I'll be soaking up the atmosphere, and I have heard of a few fans going.
Anybody else going?

It's a gala premiere. For a Bond film. In the year of the 50th anniversary of the Bond movies. At the Royal Albert Hall. In presence of Prince Charles and Camilla. And the whole wide world is watching.
I wouldn't assume for half a second that it's not a black tie event.

But, hey, try it without. I'll be waiting outside, wearing a black tie. If you don't get in, I'm willing to take your ticket. :P

Ooh - I was going to reply to this one Heiko, but you got there before me.

Of course it will be black tie Sagart - these things never haven't been. Turn up without one, I imagine you won't get through the outer perimeter.

The tickets have arrived.

Standard Albert Hall fare but in a nice little wallet of white, black and gold.

Indeed. There are a few stipulations.

Black tie. No food to be brought in. You could be searched at the door for any recording devices so, leave them at home. Be seated at 7.10. We can enter via the red carpet so the average punter it seems is not herded through the tradesman's entrance.

Thanks Simon. That's one of the nuisances of having phones that act like TVs, cameras and portable recording studios. I need my phone but it sounds like I'll have to leave it in the hotel. Oh well. A necessary sacrifice for the night in question.

Well, you could take it but then you will have to check it in at the desk - then queue up with the 1000 others to pick it up after the event.
