I was watching Tomorrow Never Dies last night and caught one of those "I-can't-believe-they-got-away-with-it-and-I-never-noticed-for-all-these-years" moviemaking tricks, namely Wai Lin's amazingly long and bendy left arm:

Yeah, I chose the frame of Pierce shouting because it amuses me.

Interesting observation!

She's probably holding both her arms round Pierce, with her arm going through his shirt sleeve so it looks like his.

Haha! Nice observation!

Look like she is holding her own hand, as Pierce must have a very feminie left hand otherwise!

I recall that's how the stuntman drove the cycle, having arms in different coloured sleeves, but never noticed Wai Lin and her stretchy arm syndrome!

Oh dear fellas.

With all of the microscopic interest we devote to the unpicking of these films, how else could this scene have Really been filmed??

I thought the reason this wasn't discussed since 1997 was because it was all too obvious... well, anyway.

Like this? As it was in all of the other shots of the actors?

Try not to be a dick about it and just have a laugh like the rest of us.

I think it's possible to ride that bike in that way, provided there is no high speed racing or manoeuvring involved. And of course it's got to be a trained team agreeing on the gear changes and course they have to take. But if that's taken care of, why ever not?

I always just chalked that up to incredible martial arts training on Michelle Yeoh's part, and Brosnan having delicate hands.

Most of you are going on about how obvious it was that they did this. Well let me say this, this is the first I've ever heard anything about this, so obviously they pulled the wool over my eyes.

And mine - too busy watching the actual action on film to take note of arms and things from Michelle Yeoh on screen. Good work to the crew for pulling it off I say.

Pretty good catch.

Not as blatant as the crash-defying, weed wacker of a helicopter, depicted later in this scene but...

good catch.

Yeah, I don't see what the big deal is about this. I've seen TND maybe 10 times and never noticed it. It's a movie. There are stunts and stuntmen. This scene was actually rather entertaining.

It's a movie.

It looks like Bond is freaking out because Wai Lin's arm is dislocated. She kind of does look in pain...

Definitely one of those "one you've seen it it can't be unseen" kind of moments. I never noticed it before. Good eye!
