I've been wondering about this since I've read the line before in the leaked script sheets. I don't really get it.

Is M telling Bond to "Take the bloody shot" (that is, getting the bullet) or to Eve (to shoot for once and all)?

And I can't realy ge why would M order Bond to

take the bloody shot, knowing that would led Patrice to survive and escape, and all ending un with her losing her best agent!

M tells Eve to take the bloody shot, as she's in position to shoot Patrice, but hits Bond accidently.

I second that Mharkin - I reckon because Eve is almost panicking with the fact she's running out of track before losing their target, M doesn't want her thinking about it any more, and is making the decision for her as a superior and tells her, no, ORDERS her with her use of words and tone to "Take the bloody shot!"

I think this is also as M knows what's at stake and if Eve doesn't take out the target, all hell could break loose so it's now or never to take the shot to end it all once and for all.
