Apparently, the chap decided to call it a day by jumping off a bridge - which all sounds rather awful.
RIP.
Best to those he left behind.

Such a shame, While I've always preferred Ridley over him, Tony has still made some damn good entertaining films.
Rest In Piece Tony Scott.

Very sad news indeed... "Top Gun" and "Beverly Hills Cop II" were always in my favorite movies list and Tony Scott was quite a talented director..he will be missed.. R.I.P. Tony Scott

He had an inoperable brain tumour, apparently. Which makes his decision to take his own life a little more understandable.

Headin' into twilight
Spreadin' out her wings tonight
She got you jumpin' off the deck
And shovin' into overdrive
Highway to the Danger Zone
I'll take you right into the Danger Zone

I went to a terrific event on Friday night at LA Film School paying tribute to Scott; Quentin Tarantino and Richard Kelly were both there discussing the two scripts they wrote that were filmed by Tony; 'True Romance' and 'Domino'; they screened both pics and had a long Q+A in between.
The whole event was excellent and I believe the Q+A will be available as a podcast later this week.

I was sorry and rather surprised to hear about Tony Scott. I was even more shocked to learn that he met his death, while jumping off the Vincent Thomas Bridge that links Long Beach, California with San Pedro.
