Does anyone know why Orion has apparently decided not to release audio book versions of the John Gardner 007 series beyond the two (License Renewed and For Special Services) that were released last year?

At a guess I'd say it's a question of budget. An audio book calls for a new production, while e books for example are simply a matter of formatting, no real expenses involved there. Printed copies of course come in a little more expensive, but basically the whole material is already there.

Budget reasons might be the reason, but it was my understanding that Orion had gone so far as to put out a release schedule for the Audio CDs for the entire Gardner series.

Well, a release schedule certainly suggests their plans are relatively concrete. Perhaps this means things are merely delayed, not entirely discarded.

This is a topic that several people have asked me about. As soon as I have any kind of definitive answer I will post on these forums.
