After the superb car collection from Universal hobby's, why bother Corgi?

"A loyal aide to Commander Bond the DB5 first appeared in the 1964 movie ‘Goldfinger’ and went on to appear in eight other movies including the 1965 film ‘Thunderball’, and this year’s ‘SKYFALL’ movie."

Eight? Really?

I count six. Was the author of that blurb counting George's DB6, which I presume was also the one getting a missile pod loaded into it in DAF?

That's a common mistake - in the long run I think George drove a DB5 on TV more often than Sean, Pierce & Dan combined did in the films. (Rog, of course, only drove one in The Cannonball Run.)

Yep, eight's definitely wrong. Including the current movie, I also count the DB5 being in a total of six Bond films: GOLDFINGER, THUNDERBALL, GOLDENEYE, TOMORROW NEVER DIES, CASINO ROYALE and SKYFALL.

Anecdotally, scenes including it were also filmed for THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH but subsequently dropped.

I do apologize for the confusion, the remark was about the Corgi model, not the actual car. For my part they can use the real Aston as much as they like since it's a beautiful and classic machine.
What I do not like is that Corgi will bring out the same model again, just put it in a box with this time a Skyfall label. They could be creative and do something really special, ad a couple of figures, make a repro box, ad a chip. But unfortunately it will be the same again.
Where does the eight come from?

Never assumed you meant otherwise, Fiver.

Personally, I liked that they gave Dalton the Volante, as it was both a nod to the original and as distinctive a change as Dalton himself.
