Hey not sure if this has been asked elsewhere or what but, I am wondering if there are any 'pre' screenings at IMAX or other places for Skyfall?

I know about a year ago or so I started a topic about future Bond films in IMAX, but I think you're all good haha.

By pre-screenings, you mean midnight showings?

In the UK last year Paramount showed exclusive 20-minute IMAX previews of Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol over a month before the official release date. You had to register online, and wait for the date/time when the free tickets would be available. I guess there is a chance that a Skyfall IMAX preview will be shown in September 2012 in London.

Skyfall will be released in IMAX on November 8 in the US, a day ahead of the general release.

If I had IMAX where I was, I would go. I don't so I will just have to do with the regular movie theater.

I was considering watching Skyfall in IMAX but then I read it wasn't actually filmed in that way, it was just going to be converted. Now I'm on the fence.

My first viewing of SKYFALL will be in IMAX but I'll be going to a conventional screening later the same day, so I'm hoping that this combination means I'll get a good mixture of absorbing the movie and simply enjoying the ride.

Roger Deakins mentioned the Digital IMAX print looked great while the "real" IMAX presentation was a bit grainy. Hope this helps, I'll be seeing it in digital.

Raiders of the Lost Ark wasn't filmed in IMAX, and I enjoyed watching it on an IMAX screen a few weeks ago. Incidentally, the Skyfall trailer played before it and looked great. If it was grainy, I certainly couldn't tell.

Interesting. I was under the impression that films not filmed but presented in converted IMAX had a tendency of looking bad: somewhat pixelated, blocky, grainy, etc. Not to an exaggerated and blatantly obvious degree, but a noticeable one. Seeing as how this isn't going to be the case with Skyfall, I'll be watching it in IMAX. Thanks, guys.

Hey guys, just thought I'd give some of you Americans a heads up. I bought my Skyfall IMAX tickets today. Seems many theaters have that set up. Happy buying.
