It could be interesting to get an account from one of the Bonds himself, instead of an umpteenth book by a journalist...

Still, Moore is an insider and as such doubtlessly more qualified to an informed opinion than many so-called experts. He's able to give an idea about his feelings regarding a topic entirely without the use of rude language, and on top of that he knows the business and has a first-hand knowledge of the many, many difficulties and obstacles coming with the role of 007.
BOND ON BOND has the potential to be a unique work on the films and at the moment is the one book that interests me the most in this barrage of books coming in 2012.

But Roger Moore's chairmanship didn't so much remind me of Bond, Templar or even Roger Moore himself, but the late lamented jazz musician Humphrey Lyttleton, who chaired one of my favourite BBC radio comedy quiz shows "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue". Sir Roger put on similar performance of combining slightly bored detachment ("I wouldn't be here if I didn't have this book to plug", he says, producing "Bond On Bond") and supposed befuddlement at what was going on, and pretence that he didn't understand some of the double entendres the teams were producing. Maybe it was his advanced years that made me think of "Humph" when watching the show last night, but he did make me laugh.

One of my favorites is when he mentions that if he won't reveal the names of everybody he tells a story about for his or her sake. He goes on to say that while filming one of the Lewis Gilbert films, one of the actresses was complaining that Lewis would always have her follow Bond around. This was not her first complaint of this sort. Finally, when she inquired why, Lewis responded, "Because he is f*****g James Bond!"

I bought the Book. It mostly O.K. Roger Moore included Sean Connery's unofficial Bond movie Never Say Never Again. Not much on the latest Skyfall. I should give 9 out 10.

I still haven't got this book but would like to, thanks for reviews QOS. Roger Moore watches re-runs of 'Are You Being Served?', my mom loves that show.
