I thought I'd watch the first ten official films in the order I originally saw them. This was a combination of the cinema and UK TV premieres.

Diamonds Are Forever (Cinema 1972)
Live and Let Die (Cinema 1973)
The Man With The Golden Gun (Cinema 1975)
Doctor No (TV 1975)
From Russia With Love (TV 1976)
Goldfinger (TV 1976)
Thunderball (TV 1977)
You Only Live Twice (TV 1977)
The Spy Who Loved Me (Cinema 1977)
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (TV 1978)

I've started with DAF already. That premiered on UK TV on Christmas Day 1978. After this I saw the rest of the films in the order they were released.

Nice thread lazenbyland!

Well here in the UK I'm going to three Bond 50th Anniversary events so far:
  • National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, where the '50 Years, 50 Vehicles' exhibition is on
  • Designing Bond exhibition at the Barbican, London which opens in July
  • James Bond Gala in London in November which is all 23 films in an orchestral performance, with singers, celebrating 50 years.
And I am getting the Blu-Ray collection and will hopefully have a mini-marathon before 'Skyfall', so that gives me 25 days to watch 22 films...easy!

And on Facebook, since January 1st, much to some amusement and annoyance of my friends, I'm putting my status every day as Bond50... and I am doing daily trivia, birthday of actors/crew, release dates, quotes...just total 365 Bond facts and fun for the 50th year...going well so far, just had John Rhy-Davie's 68th birthday announcement!

Bar that...anything that comes my way I will try and do/collect/see to celebrate the 50 years of that legend that is James Bond!

:D

Well, I'll be playing Blood Stone, Quantum Of Solace, and GoldenEye: Reloaded, Reading the novels, watching all the films as part of my Summer Of Bond marathon, and yeah that pretty much sums it up. I don't live in the UK so I can't see the exhibits ant stuff.

I'll get Sir Roger's book Bond on Bond and I'll go see Skyfall numerous times.

That will be enough for me, unless some 007-themed party comes up and I can wangle tickets to it.

Attending the Bond and Beyond concert this coming Friday.
Going on the Operation Nassau Reloaded 2012 tour on May 24-27.
Heading for the National Motor Museum at Bealieu in June (and visiting some Bond locations in London).
Checking out the Bond locations in St. Petersburg in mid-June.
Possibly returning to the UK for the "Skyfall" premiere in October.

With all this Bond stuff happening, "real life" doesn't stand a chance.

I"m hoping to go to a Toronto Bond exbit which starts Oct 26th, while I wait for the Candaian release date Nov 9th. I also want to get the Bond poster book that comes out in September and maybe this Roger Moore book that sounds pretty cool. I might read a few of the novels and as always a Bond film marathon before I see Skyfall.

Forgot about the new poster book (I already have the last two -Sally Hibbin's and Tony Nourmand's). If it has anything new in it I might spring for it too.

Sure, I'll watch Casino Royale and QoS before the big day, but I don't want to overload. If Skyfall is as excellent as it appears to be shaping up to be, seeing it multiple times might pre-empt my usual OHMSS/DAF/TMWTGG/NSNA/DAD week in December.

I forgot about the Barbican exhibition which I must get along to.

And of course George Lazenby brings out his autobiography.

Hopefully he'll be over to sign a few.

I'll be taking my son to his 1st OO7 film experience in the movie theater. He's looking forward to it. He will be 7. My 1st Bond premier was TMWTGG in 1974. I was 8.

I'm gonna start watching the Bond movies starting with QOF working backwards from October when they release Bond on blu-ray. This will be timed with a cinema trip to see Skyfall.

Not too much I suppose. I've already pre-ordered the "Bond 50" Blu-Ray collection and will be watching Bond in HD for the first time. I will watch them all of course, in order of release.

The upgrade will be pretty nice in particular for the older films as I never upgraded to the "Ultimate Edition" DVDs since I had purchased all three Special Edition box-sets prior & was in college....

Should I pick up a case of Heineken before the premiere, of after...?
