Some brilliant new information. From PPK_19...

"Bond's mission has taken him to Shanghai first, and there he gets a lead that the person he is looking for is in Macau. He has one slender lead and it takes him to a casino on a lake. Its a very transitional piece you're seeing tonight. It's just an arrival."

Empire nips inside a dark Gazebo where a huge plasma high-def screen monitor displays the view through Deakins' lens, as Bond stands at the entrance to the Casino, dead centre: "This is definitely the best-looking, most painterly few seconds of Bond that Empire has ever seen."

"Bond is back from the dead" , casino creator Dennis Gassner says, somewhat cryptically. He adds "This whole film is about illusion."

Empire makes an educated guess, from what they have seen during various set visits in February and April, that "Silva's MO has something to do with computers and the control of information".

Lastly, Mendes assures us that Skyfall will see 007 "physically pushing himself".

I just checked that JCRendle, great minds...!

Since they are a month ahead...this will be the June issue, I believe, as we're coming into May. That's still 4 months away so I bet if this normal cover features a smaller, alternate shot of Craig as Bond for the article, we will get that but I bet come September/October we will have a full blown 'Skyfall' special cover for non-subscribers, full Bond attire on the front!

We non-subscribers at the minute I bet will get either an ensemble cover, or that image, but smaller and with all the crap around it.

Oh, we got so much more...

Well, Total Film has spidey man on the cover of June so I guess they´re saving Bond for the July issue. Oh well, Empire rules!

That's always the case i'm afraid. Empire has always been the leader in exclusives and world firsts; Total Film probably won't have Bond on their cover or a set report with new images till the August issue. All hail Empire!

That's exactly what I was reminded of as soon as I saw the image. Brilliant! They're really going all out to make this one of the best Bond films ever I think. So excited!

Nice one Royal Dalton! That's the image! The link between the first and latest 007.

I don't think I've had this much Bond over-excitement in months!

Thank god for us CBn'ers, it's much more fun sharing all this with you lot. Group hug!

Now bring on that Teaser Poster and Trailer because if it's as iconic as this one single image...well, enough said!!

I'm such a dumb dumb, I didn't notice the release date and was looking for it at news stands today. I love how the 2nd one has all the Bond's at the bottom, and the black and white one both remind me of these I've picked up, during CR and QOS.

EDIT: Entertainment Weekly; Aug, 18, 2006 and Esquire; Nov, 2008. Empire covers added.

Actually in Entertaiment Weekly's cover Bond looks like a pop star with that shiny tux. Don't like it at all.

Is this the latest issue? Or were you talking about the Royale or Quantum release?
