Widely recognised as one of the most famous cars of all time, the sleek Aston Martin DB5 first became the car of choice for James Bond in "Goldfinger". The DB5 returns in the new James Bond adventure, 'Skyfall', and is once again centre stage for the Scalextric set to celebrate the film's release.

Would be better if you put it in the "Collecting" section. :)

Wouldn't it be better in here as the film hasn't come out yet and the set could be a potential spoiler?

Granted knowing that the Aston is chased by a Land Rover might not seem like a spoiler to you or I, others may feel differently.

That's what I thought, the picture of the Aston vs Land Rover might just tip someone over the edge, so just being safe!

Does look exciting though...the Aston vs a Land Rover...that should be pretty intense for a car chase!

I'd be very surpised if there was an Aston Martin car chase actually. We haven't really heard any reports of filming such a scene. Unless there's a small sequence when Bond is taking M to Scotland.

I was under the impression that they just needed a Scalextric set out, so they just made up a small sequence for it. Since they wanted to include the DB5.

Fair point Mharkin, I too hadn't heard of the Land Rover involved with the DB5.

I think as the 'Quantum Of Solace' had the DBS vs Alfa Romeo set, that it was a close bet that this pair would go toe-to-toe during 'Skyfall'.

Still, it looks a good 'battle', so I guess we'll find out in October if it's real or not!

I really thought we were going to have a short chase sequence with the DB5. Didn't we also hear rumors that the car had a few "additional extras" as it were?
