I'm pretty sure this doesn't need its own thread. Since the scenes are being shot at the lodge, then this could probably go in the thread on shooting at the lodge.

The thread title is kind of spoilerish, too. The word "fate" implies that there is a definitive ending for it. And while this is the spolier subforum, the thread title will appear in full on both the main page of the forums when the thread has had the most-recent activity, and also in the "recent topics" log so long as it is one of the five most recently-created threads.

Two posts or two thousand posts, he should realise that there is a SPOILERS subforum for a reason: it's because some people don't want to know anything about the film, and some of his thread titles imply spoilers. I'll give him credit for posting in the right place and for a vague-ish thread title that doesn't let the cat out of the bag - he didn't after all, post it under the title THE ASTON MARTIN GETS BLOWN UP!!! - but nevertheless, if you're cautious enough to realise that something belongs in the spoiler subforum, then it should occur to you that people mmight accidentally and unintentionally spoil something by what you post in the thread title.

I think it's a bit naive to assume the Aston is going to appear in the film, in an action sequence no less, and not have some kind of spectacular exit from the film.

Why? Correlation does not imply causation.

Well, either way, this thread is spiralling out of context again, but thank you Bond23 for the post, exciting news!

To come back to the initial point, if true I'd welcome such a development. I've never been very fond of comebacks of the old grey beast. To me it belongs into its own timeline, vintage transport just goes better with John Steed (who actually drove a DB5 before Bond if memory serves).

Posted this in another thread, but i'd like to put it here as well.

Bond uses the DB5 Ejector seat on himself. He's in the DB5 trying to take the helicopter down with some missiles but the Helicopter gets there first and fires a missile at it. Bond hasn't got enough time to get out, so he moves to the passenger seat, presses the red button on the gear stick and gets thrown out the sun roof just as the entire thing blows up.

Just a thought I had, would be very cool. Pure Bond.

I see Bond's 'current' Aston, the DBS, is getting a revamp this year:

It'd be a shame for Aston if they can't get it any screentime!
