As most of you old members know, a few years ago a thread like this was locked, and rightfully so. It became a farce. But I think, right now, it might be a good time to bring it back. There's been so many new members on here, and we don't really know eachother as well as we did back in the day. I also noticed that we don't really have a casual thread to discuss our day to day lives. Now, giving the right sort of moderation, I think this thread could be interesting. So, what are you doing? Or what have you done today?

As for me. I've spent most of the day playing Mass Effect 3, which is an absoloutely fantastic game, and the entire online multiplayer is probably the best I've ever played. Very fun. Right now though, I'm watching Psycho. One of my favourite movies of all time.

Yesterday was lovely, it really felt like Spring, I went for a run and did some riding too. My pony Dolly is a different character when the sun is out. :D

Ahh, nice thread.

I'm currently in between jobs so i'm playing SSX and Skyrim non-stop.

Having completed all three of the games in the series, I would say that you definitely would want to go back and play 1 & 2 before playing the third game. The storyline for the third game is convoluted enough for those who have played the first two, so I would imagine that those coming into the game without that background would be completely lost. Plus, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 are both superior games to the third, IMO.

The best thing about Mass Effect is that the decisions you make in one game affect the next one. So make sure you keep your saves! I wasn't too keen on the first one, though. I thought it was awful compared to 2 and 3. Also, don't get me started on that damn Sniper rifle.

I think that Mass Effect 2 is, far and away, the best of the series. It has easily the best story of the three, the best cast of characters, and the action is much more compelling than what was there in the first game. Mass Effect 3, though, is kind of a mess in terms of its storyline and the other elements that it brings to the table. ME1 has a fantastic story as well and is a very good foundation to build upon. The problem with ME3 is that it never feels as epic as it should feel.

Up early and enjoyed my coffee and breakfast, catching up on the web. Picked up some source material for some video work later this afternoon. Reviewing more of my script notes as I continue writing. Off to TKD training/workout at 11am. For the moment, obviously, scanning about CBn. Planning on getting out to the range this weekend. Contemplating dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant. Nearing having enough funds by the end of the month to finally get the new pump put in the Jag.

Grey day here in L.A., but I can live with it.

Being fired from a screenwriting project today. In a way it was a relief since the involved people were clichéd unpredictable mood swingers. Losing the payment sucks, of course. But even worse was the manner in which they did it: per e-mail. But the studio head (who could not make up his mind which way to develop this thing, always contradicted himself, always wanted something else whenever I brought him what he wanted before) is known for this cowardly way. I should have known better and not have taken this assignment in the first place. Now, I´ve wasted my time with it.

Imagine which thrilling responses and threads I could have written on this board instead during these last months...

Maybe exchange this with chapter 6?

Sorry to hear that. It's a shame that the world continues to move more and more in this direction rather than the other way around.

No, Glidrose. Thats what number 10 and 11 were about. If anything 12 should be "Take it out on Glidrose." :D

Well, dang. My day is absolutely boring compared to most of yours. I went to Papa Murphy's (a take n bake pizza shop here in the midwest) and got an order of cheesy bread. The internet was down here yesterday, so I puttered around the apartment cleaning up, and then that evening, fired up the PS2 (don't have the money to get a current gen console, and besides, most of my favorite games are on PS2) and played The Punisher. Went to bed at about 1am Central Standard Time to be woke up at 6 by "Daddy, I'm hungry and thirsty."

Woke up early, about 0515, showered, shaved, got dressed smoked a fag outside and thought of the previous night. Made love to a very sexy and loving woman and went off to work after another shower and smoke. Got the men sorted out and went on the Square for an hour to prepair for tomorrow's rehersal. Got back to base, did some paper work and spent the day on troubleshooting duties. Got back home at about 1630, had something to eat and am now relaxing on this site. Going back at at half eight. Meeting 2 Captains to discuss the parade and all the ceremonial dettails on site. Will get back at about eleven if I don't get too carried away with the port and probably go to bed. Busy day tomorrow with a main rehersal.

Cest la vie. Such is life. Oh, yeah, probably won't be writing tonight although lately I was having quite a good run where that was concerned. Hope I don't lose the momentum and muse!

Hope I wasn't too dettailed ;-)

Woke up, had some lovely Liptons Moroccan Blend Herbal Tea and some wholemeal pitta bread with peanut butter, watched a couple of episodes of The Finder, then an episode of Bones, read about fifty pages of David Gibbins' 'The Lost Gospel' (and pondering the next book I'm going to read), had a shower (Original Source Black Cherry and Almond, heavenly), had a few text conversations, started listening to an audio play - currently pondering what to make for dinner.

I'm not going to say that I woke up because that's trite and obvious. I had classes, registered for my fall term and my first round of nursing classes, which made me extremely excited. :) After that, i've been working on my lighting design projects for theater things and I had a job interview. All in all, a rather excellent day :)

Harkers - I have never walked so much barefoot as I do now that I live in Australia but don't walk into shops with no shoes on. That is "bogan" which is the equivalent of "chav".

The first decent morning of the summer and I find myself sat in a multiplex foyer accopmanying offspring to this Batman thing. In a bad mood already and given that I thought the last pretentious effort nearly drowned in its own shallowness I suspect I am in for a thoroughly dismal time. Still, I can molest the pick and mix.
