Google Books lists a play by Erik Lee Preminger and John E. Gardner called "The Limehouse". Worldcat identifies it as a screenplay. I recall reading in a biography of Preminger's father, famed film director Otto, that Erik was at work on a script based on John Gardner's "The Return of Moriarty".
Anybody know anything else about this?

Hi Glidrose
I had heard a while back that a screenplay from The Return of Moriarty existed.
My recollection of events surrounding the proposed movie (Donald Sutherland as Moriarty) are a little hazy.
I do have a memory that for some reason the money fell through of first day of principal shooting.
The sets were used at a later date for 'The Seven Percent Solution' apparently. There is a mention about the failed film at this link

If anyone can locate where this manuscript is I would be very interested.

Apparently the screenplay is held in the library of The University of Minnesota from what I can gather
