The pigeon during the gondola sequence in MR.

Director showdown; Terenece Young (DR, FRWL, TB) OR Guy Hamilton (GF, DAF, LALD, TMWTGG)?

Tough, but I give the edge to Guy Hamilton for 'Goldfinger' and 'Live And Let Die', just pipping 'Dr.No' and 'From Russia With Love'.

Would you like to see James Bond on a truly personal holiday in a film...

YES - See him with his armour down, enjoying himself but soon called away back to London

OR

NO - James Bond doesn't need a holiday, he needs to work

??

No-Bond needs to get back to work.

Director showdown 2: Martin Campbell (CR, GE) OR Sam Mendes (SF)?

I'm a sucker for Martin Campbell loved 'Edge Of Darkness' although I like Skyfall and Mendes's films. For whatever reason I don't care for Mendes much.

Direct showdown 3:

Lewis Gilbert (YOLT, TSWLM, MR) OR John Glen (FYEO-LTK) ?

John Glen, he had a pretty decent run with FYEO, TLD and LTK. I think he screwed up with specific things in both OP and AVTAK though. Cannot forgive Gilbert for MR even though he did TSWLM).

Better teaser trailer:

Goldeneye OR Skyfall?

Have to say Goldeneye...after a six year absence from the big screen, the anticipation of having Bond back was matched perfectly by Goldeneye's teaser..

Michael G. Wilson cameos... Tom Wallace in TND OR the police chief who gets framed and arrested in CR??

The Tom Wallace one in TND wasn't that bad IMO but I never liked the CR one for some reason.

Which Bond car do you like the most or would rather have; the Lotus submarine from TSWLM OR the invisible Aston Martin from DAD?

The lotus submarine, I want no part of the "Vanish."

villain battle:

Trevelyan OR Silva?

Trevelyan had a lot more screen time and Silva didn't really even fight Bond so I would have to go with Trevelyan.

Composer showdown;

TSWLM Marvin Hamlisch OR FYEO Bill Conti?

Marvin Hamlisch TSWLM, love the Bond '77 theme.

song battle:

007 Theme OR LTK Bond theme remix?

Hmm that's hard because I love both.. I am going to go with the original 007 beat though I do like the LTK one!

That's a tough one, but probably Oddjob, solely because Jaws went soft...

song battle 2, better use of classic rock song:

"London Calling" in DAD OR "Boom Boom" in Skyfall?

London Calling! I love that song :) every time I hear it I think of Die Another Day.

Which is more torturous to watch...

The Man with the Golden Gun or Moonraker.

The Man With The Golden Gun (with the exception of Christopher Lee of course)

James Bond / Lord of the Rings actors...Sean Bean (Alec Trevelyan / Boromir), John Ryhs-Davies (Gen. Pushkin / Gimli / Voice of Treebeard) OR Christopher Lee (Francisco Scaramanga / Sauraman)

Hmm, never was a big fan of LotR, but I'll go with Sean Bean as Trevelyan was great and he was good in LotR (or least he was as much as I can remember).

song battle 3, better ending credits song:

If You Asked Me Too OR Surrender?

'Surrender' - very Bond!

Should atomic bombs be used as a plot device for Bond 24/25?

YES - Let's have them used to hold nations to ransom like the golden era, with a race against time to find them!

OR

NO - Atomic bombs are old news, let's have the more modern cyber-warfare we're used to!

??

Better use of theme song:

Singing Live and Let Die at the Fillet of Soul in LALD OR Vijay signaling Bond by playing the Bond theme in OP?

Good one, I'm having a hard time deciding but I'd have to go with the one from OP.

The FRWL theme being played in the background of FRWL OR We Have All The Time In The World playing during a montage of Bond and Tracey's time together?

I'll have to go with the FRWL theme. While the montage of Bond/Tracy is important to the film, I've always felt it was one of the weakest aspects of the film.

Better relocated MI6 headquarters:

The Scotland office from TWINE and EoN OR the underground bunker from Skyfall?

The bunker in 'Skyfall' - I could believe that place existed and was there. The Scottish castle was just, to me, unpacking boxes in various rooms to fill the castle itself. It didn't feel like a HQ, more like a stop-gap.

So. 2012 as a year -

LOVED IT - Lots of exciting developments, and carried along by the juggernaut of 'Skyfall' and James Bond fever

OR

HATED IT - Some good moments but mixed with times most would like to forget, with suger-coated moments dusted along the way

Neither loved or hated it..(LOVED the Bond 50th anniversary celebrations and Skyfall)

2013....Gonna be somewhat of a downer due to much less Bond-related activity OR Nah, I'll approach it optimistically ??

Nah, I'll approach it optimistically. I have a couple things in the works, so I might actually be able to start my career this year. Also, we've got Boyd's novel and (knowing activision) another sub-par Bond game to look forward to. There will no doubt be less Bond related stuff, however, I think 007 will have an interesting 2013.

Will Skyfall's final box office:

Reach $1.25 billion OR that will be up to Bond 24 to do?

I think it still has to open in China so I think it will reach 1.25.

TSWLM's PTS, no question.

Better move for Bond 24:

Setting a 2 year production cycle OR retaining John Logan?

I would say the 2 year cycle, but even if that hits 3 and they take their time with 'Bond 24', then having Logan back will be great to continue the current story arc with his characters.

The 'Skyfall' DVD / Blu-Ray. Will you be...

Buying it straight away to re-live all over again

OR

Wait until we get a good offer so I get my moneys worth

Buying it straight-away. I'm done seeing SF in the theaters, but I can't wait to pop it in my PS3 and watch it at home.

Bond 24, would you rather see:

A relatively low-key espionage thriller a la FRWL OR DC's first OTT film with a race against the clock to save the world a la TB?

Purvis and Wade...are they totally done with writing Bond films OR do you think that they may re-appear at some point down the road, say Bond 28??
