MGM announced earlier that they plan to release Bond 24 in 2014. IF they keep that schedule I do expect Craig to return for Bond 24.
Where is the announcement? is it November 2014?

Craig will do Bond 24. At the press conference he plainly said he wants to continue for a few more years and Babs very firmly added "Definitely!"
If Babs has her way, Craig will be back in Bond 25 too.

Sean - DAF : Las Vegas/Jill St. John
Rog - AVTAK : San Francisco/Tanya Roberts
Dalton - LTK : Key West/Carey Lowell
Broz - DAD : Hawaii (used for surfing scenes)/Halle Berry
So if Bond 24 costars Katherine Heigl and shoots in Chicago, we'll know that's it for DC!

In other words, it will suck. We'll know when Craig is done - his last film will feature an American location and American main Bond girl, which was the swansong for all the others :
Except for "LTK", of course.

Yes exactly. Other key phrases to keep an eye out for in spotting Craig's last film will be "we're pulling out all the stops for this one!", "there's much more action this time round", "we're doing some amazing special effects" and of course "Daniel will definitely be doing another one after this".

Will Henry Cavill take over when Craig is done?
Nobody knows, not even EON.

I think, it was some sort of confirmation, that he will do at least 24, unless 23 goes really wrong. "Yes, definitely" in the way, she said it, was more then just a rubbish promo thing.
She seemed, at least to me, a bit overexcited about everything she was saying at the press conference, so my feeling towards that is that this answer was just more of that rather than any kind of definite answer. The SkyFall press conference was about the most useless Hollywood press conference I think I've ever seen, so I'm pretty hesistant to take any stock in any of the "information" revealed there given they wasted everyone's time by spending a half hour saying they couldn't talk about anything.
I'd love for Craig to do another film, and potentially more, but I'm much less enthusiastic about his tenure now that we're getting yet more Bond and M trust issues, and this time as part of the main plot, when those have been at the forefront of the last two films (and really the last three if you go back to Die Another Day).
Craig will do Bond 24, I'm damn sure of it. He's plainly up for it. And the producers - as very loudly voiced by Babs - plainly want him to continue. "Definitely!" is a strong statement.
His 4th film maybe his last, but IF it goes really well and they keep to the 2 year gap, I can see Craig still doing Bond 25 in 2016. He'll be 47/48 - still younger than Brosnan in DAD.

Either he will or he won't. You can stop asking in multiple threads now.

Not if Superman: Man Of Steel proves a commercial success as he be tied down with planned sequels in what is another major franchise.

I read it pretty much at the beginning of the reports, that MGM was finally back on its feet on deadline.

You are dead right. MGM and Sony, partnered for Bond 24 too, plan to keep to the 2 year gap between films.
Eon are also so happy with Logan's work they have already asked him to return for the next film.
And Craig, as indicated at the Press Conference, will be back in Bond 24 too.

You mean, the consistency between those four films in being such a rubbish.
If B23 reintroduces the gunbarrel at the start (Brosnan style please!)
You mean a shiny, CGI, monstrosity?
I thought it looked great! They should at least make it resemble that barrel, the same style they use on all the branding.

I loved the conistency between those four films and the general atmosphere and tone they established.
By the way, I think I heard that EON wants that Craig stays until his eight entry which could be in 2022 at the age of 54 (still yonger than Moore in AVTAK).

I've been told this isn't the best source for Bond news, so now you too have been warned.

MGM and Sony are already penciling in Bond 24, which would be Craig's fourth movie, for the Holiday 2014 season, leaving a two year gap between films. Assuming the most aggressive schedule with no hold ups, that could see Bond 25 in 2016, Bond 26 in 2018, Bond 27 in 2020 and what could be his eighth - Bond 28 - in 2022 when Craig would be 54 years old.
I suspect the producers want to be able to say in tens years time, 6 Bonds 60 years. Personally I always thought he would do at least 4 films like the Brosnan's series.
If DC was to do it he'd have his work cut out for him with that and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo sequels for the next few years.

Umm..... Skyfall will be Craig's 3rd.I sure hope not!
He'd be like Dalton, a great Bond who only did two films! That's the last thing we want as Bond fans

Simply as I think Craig has nailed this Bond as his own now, and I hope 'Skyfall' is more proof of this, but also as with Connery and Moore (and to some extent Brosnan), I want a Bond actor we can develop and be comfortable with for a few more films, to help define a generation's Bond like Moore did with his 7.

Me too, and I think it will be the case. They seem loyal to him as it is, but if Skyfall is as great as they say, it'll bring in the money and acclaim that will just strengthen those bonds.I really hope the speculation about Craig carrying on as much as he can, and Michael G.Wilson wanting him for more future films is true.

Agree. I have a gut feeling Mendes will be back to do Bond 24 - he looks like he's having a fantastic time directing Skyfall.
And Mendes will mean Craig too.

Recently, with the different directors, every film from 'GoldenEye' to 'Quantum Of Solace' has been 'experimental', new ideas, bold changes and sometimes it worked, more-so it didn't, so if Mendes and Craig hit the bullseye in 'Skyfall', let's get the Bond family back on track with a run of comfortable films that we know will work with the acting and crew behind it!

I think you're right about that. It wasn't until they hit bottom w/ Lee Tamahori when someone wrote, "Note to self... Don't ever do that sh#t again."
