For the previous covers the poster art on white worked well, however for Goldeneye it does not seem to work as well. Maybe it it the darker lighting tone of the top trio image.

If you decide to use the main GoldenEye art I would suggest a darker background. Alternatively there is that wonderful teaser poster artwork (the 'you know the name/number' tag line). You could use the teaser Brosnan photo as a main foreground and then use the other Goldeneye art (the lower montage on your WIP) as a background montage, since it does not suffer from the being black on white as much (hope that makes sense).

The second poster. I like the unused artwork, but Talisa Soto just doesn't look right. Would be great if you could incorporate the Dalton pic from the UK Flyer on the reverse of the sleeve as well.

Which flyer are you referring to?

Right now the image I have of Dalton in the gunbarrel is Bond with the signature gun.

This is the one I was thinking about, although looking at it it's probably the wrong size for reverse of the sleeve. I just think it's a great Bond image and relatively unseen as well, escpecially by younger fans. Would make a nice addition to the covers. There are higher quality enhanced scans of this image uploaded on Cbn (and that can no doubt be found elsewhere online). This one is a scan taken directly from part of the original six page UK LTK flyer I have at home.

New to some of the old timers too. I was 17 and living in the U.K. when "Licence to Kill" came out and well aware of most of the publicity, but I don't recall that poster at all.

The only place i've ever seen it is on the flyer I have. As it's not well known it may look good incorporated on your covers if its possible.
More scans here:

This scan completes one side of the flyer:

Yup, that's the one. A landscape one might give you more room, the portrait one is a bit squashed, unless you want to keep the gun logo symbol.

I was 16 when LTK came out remember getting a number of these leaflets at the press showing. They were available at the local Odeon I went to as well.

No interest in keeping the gun logo symbol since my template has those anyway. I will likely use a close headshot from that poster with Bond in the middle with the two girls either side and the montage underneath.

One of the issues with the poster I was working from last night was Brosnan's black hair on a black background...it was impossible to make out where his hair ended and the background began so it was pure guesswork. You'll see obvious pen-tool manipulation if you look too closely.

Thanks Ozzman but I already have high resolution versions of all the images. The images I posted earlier in this thread were just low res copies of the high res images I own. The native version of #2 for example is 2,446 x 3,948 pixels.

My version of #1 is 2,388 x 3,290 pixels.

Wow, bit rough...do you know how to use the "Refine Edge" action? I can tell you how to get the edges smooth.

Getting there, the shots of Brosnan and Janssen work, but I think that we can agree that the one for Scorupco, well.... not so much. Maybe there is a good photo of her elsewhere in all the press stuff from the films release. As much as I don't like photoshopped montages, it maybe the only answer for GoldenEye.

Sorry Bond... Raybond, the design guru's at the two custom cover sites I frequent (they pretty much have guided this whole effort so far with good results) all shot down the new cover art. Whereas I agree that Scorupco is out-of-place their comments were more brutal - but constructive, so I don't mind. In no uncetain terms they unanimously preferred the original top level, with some modifications.

Licence to Kill:

It’s actually hard to find a copy of the UK TT. I had to recreate it myself. This is a WIP in progress since you will note some of the template elements from AVTAK still on the cover.

The World is Not Enough:

I removed the red from Renard’s face to make it less obtrusive, so you could say he is a shadow of his former self..OK, bad custom cover humour. I think thematically it works since his shadow is over most of the proceedings in the movie - as far as I remember. Long-time CBNers will remember my general dislike of this movie apart from an excellent boat chase.

Goldeneye:

Reverted back to original top level also reworked Brosnan’s head to remove straight edges. Did a little background eraser and refine edges action on the bottom of the explosions etc.

I am going with the UK spelling to be more faithful to the actual poster art:

PB head is wrongly cut out, you need to do it again, without straight lines

It's interesting that when I started my James Bond custom cover project about a month ago a number of people scoffed that I was 1 down, 23 to go...now that I am 21 down and 3 to go they have been strangely quiet :)

Maybe they thought it could never be done(!). Wouldn't mind betting these covers will look better than the actual new releases next year.
Just noticed your latest WIP for the GE sleeve reads 'Albert R Broccoli's Eon Productions Presents', when it should be 'Albert R Broccoli Presents'.

Past experience has shown a number of people start with the intention of completing the series and then about half-way through either give up or run out of steam. Right now all I have left is Brosnan's Tomorrow Never Dies aznd Craig's two movies and I am cautious about doing Quantum of Solace because they have not yet released the specs for the 2012 Special Edition Blu-ray.

Fixed the creditsd issue and the extra space allowed the opportunity to list Robbie Coltrane in thae cast. Also id some touch-up to Pierce's upper level image to give him more of a left ear instead of a blurred straight line.

I’m trying to decide between two cover art’s for my “Casino Royale” (2006) custom cover and not sure which to choose?:

Or

No right or wrong answer, but I’d like some opinions.

Quite obviously the AVTAK is template material. I am just putting the covers on that template so people can judge the covers alongside a spine and back cover.

They both look good. I assume your going to stick the film's title in somewhere? If you are then I would go for the bottom of the two. I like the cinematic exaggerated quality to the images in the second one, which is reminiscent of the artwork designs used for your covers.

Thanks.

All the covers except for QoS are available for download at EuphoricFX now.

I noticed a small error on the back cover of QoS so I will need to correct that before posting it.

Euphoric offers 10 free downloads a day so I figure that I have a couple of days until people have downloaded the other custom covers :)

Hello

Unfortunately I've had a few private messages (and one unsolicited email) wanting to remind me of the CBn forum policy in relation to this thread, being

Images (and signatures must not contain) with the following are not permitted on the CBn Forums:

■Stills from the Films.
■Promotional material from the Films.
■007 Gun Logo.
■Gun Barrel Logo.
■Movie Logo’s.
■Publicity shots owned by MGM or Eon Productions.
■Other materials that copyright is owned by MGM or Eon.
If this Forum policy is not respected by the users of the CBn Forums, your membership will be cancelled.

Whilst it seems a bit sneaky to crawl to the moderators without raising it directly in the thread, the annoying thing is it's probably a fair point. It does look like these do infringe most of that. Sorry Darren - can you remove the tags from around your images. Thanks.
