Is this article credit worthy?
There is a 007 logo bottom right, complete with barrel etc. Would Connery really have used this on his notepaper bearing in mind his comparative Bond disassociation and the copyright aspects?

Indeed it is.The letter is fake.
As an imitation, some of the content is doubtful, but the tone is right up Connery's alley.

I doubt Connery would proclaim I AM F-ING JAMES BOND like that. He would maintain he is an actor and not a cinematic character - particularly one that took over his life in the late sixties. Interesting article though!

I love how they didn't even bother to Photoshop out the "See Sean Connery Starring in You Only Live Twice" from the original Jim Beam advertisement.
