The trailer for the new comedy "Salvation Boulevard" starring Pierce Brosnan, Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly, Marisa Tomei, and Ed Harris.

EDIT: Also includes stand up comic Jim Gaffigan (who I usually find pretty funny) as the pale guy w/ the gun.

I think it looks pretty good. I think it's great that Brosnan hasn't been afraid to take on all sorts of roles post-Bond and I think he does a wonderful job in off-beat comedic roles like in The Matador and this one looks promising.

Not sure about this.

As with THE MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS, it looks like another third-rate attempt at a Coen Bros screwball farce, yet without any of their social veracity. With Brozza playing the standard Clooney part.

I won't write it off, but it doesn't hold well. Nor does Cathy Schulman's (CRASH) involvement as contributing writer.

I think Brosnan as a televangelist could really work.

He should team up with writer-director Richard Shepard again. He knows what he's doing.

Indeed. Brosnan's always at his best when he's harnessing his Bondian charm to an offbeat or unexpected role (e.g. THE MATADOR and THE GHOST).

Yes, I agree. That's why it's nice to see him embrace so many different kinds of roles these days.

THE MATADOR pissed me off. It started w/great potential to be a really funny movie & then, half way through the film, just went as FLAT as bowling alley soda. (and don't even get me started on Momma Mia...)
