All Bets on Bond
As for when he started I am inclined to say Dr. No as well and the hair piece just got bigger

Having sadi this though Dalton got a lot of help in the hair department, and Craig gets an awful lot of help as well

I think I recall seeing what I swear was Connery's scalp painted black in FRWL.

His hair is recedeing badly here: http://noun.files.wo...shaved-head.jpg
While when he is James Bond the sides are filled in and his hairline is brought forward.

...DAF he 100% had a wig....
I don't think it could get any more obvious than in Diamonds.

Here's Connery on the set of Diamonds, with syrup and without.
That was quite an interesting interview. Well, the questions were subpar, but Sean Connery is infinitely watchable.
Interesting, he has the same manner of dealing with interviews as Craig. No playing for the camera, just straight insightful answers, and a hint of polite boredom.

If the Bond actor was say late thirties early forties he could maybe get away with it (as Connery did), but being near Roger Moore's age when he was doing AVTAK i'd say the UK press would have a field day if 007 was sporting a syrup.Makes you wonder whether a man in a 'piece' could get away with being Bond in the web decrying world of today ...
Any assumptions?

I missed this link scanning the topic yesterday. Connery's hair could rival Conan O'Brien in the last picture. His hair started to progressively recede, this is him on Diamonds are Forever with just a part in the middle of his forehead on top:

Brosnan also admitted to wearing a partial hairpiece during his time as Bond:

I figured he did for DAD, didn't know about TWINE though. GE and TND apparently were all him though, which is what I figured.
It's funny, Brosnan's hair got smaller from film to film during his tenure, but Moore's hair seemed to get bigger...and change color.

"This thing doesn't want to show itself, it wants to hide inside an imitation. It'll fight if it has to, but it's vulnerable out in the open. If it takes us over, then it has no more enemies, nobody left to kill it. And then it's won." - Roger Moore.
