I just caught The Long Good Friday (1980) on Netflix instant streaming last night and was surprised to see Brosnan playing a minor role as an Irish pretty boy, somewhat gay, assassin. He actually appears twice; once stabbing a guy (Paul Freeman who played Beloq in Raiders of the Lost Ark) in a public shower, and again at the end while holding a gun to Bob Hoskins character in a car. Despite the two scenes of screen time, he seemed like he could have played a good Bond henchman (maybe gay like Wint and Kidd). Too bad he has already played Bond because I would have liked to see him as a henchman in one of Craig's films.
