I just posted a review of Pierce's 1988 effort Taffin on my blog. Overall it's a solid piece of entertainment save for a third act twist that almost kills the movie stone dead for me. Still worth watching, though.

I remember seeing this long before he became Bond. Not a horrible movie but not very good either. The girl in the film is AVTAK's Jenny Flex and later Dr. Schneider in Indy3.

While I love the movie - so much booze has been drunk late at night and into the early hours and take away consumed over it - I'd recommend Lyndon Mallet's three Taffin novels very highly - Taffin (the film story), Taffin's First Law, and Ask Taffin Nicely.
Mark Taffin is NOT Pierce Brosnan in any of these. And he doesn't use THAT line...
