In my opinion he should recieve an honourary Oscar too - the man has been part of 3 major franchises: Bond, Star Wars and LOTR not to mention the Hammer Horrors.

I'm going to have to agree with Kreivi von Gloda on this one. Lee should have won already an honorary lifetime Academy Award for the many great roles he's done.

But does he really wear one? And if so, so what? So does Burt Reynolds, William Shatner, etc. Sure, Burt and Shatner aren't even in the same league Sir Christopher Lee when it comes to charisma but still.

It was on BBC America last night. The clip reel was nice but redundant as if they only had 5 films to draw from. I wish they would have given a little more of a nutshell biography. Lee was genuinely touched and his moment was touching. Brought a tear to my eye.
