I just received my Limited Edition Golden Gun replica from Factory Entertainment.
I haven't opened the package yet. I'm savouring the last few moments of a 35-year wait (or, more realistically, a 15-year wait, since the first replica was never produced until 1995, and I had to pass up the opportunity to procure it then).
I will report again later, after I "touch it, stroke it and undress it" (the box and its contents, that is) - unless someone else who has already received theirs beats me to it. If I'm not the first to post, at least let me be the one to initiate this thread:
How do you like it? Does it live up to your expectations? Does owning it at last give you the sense of satisfaction that I'm still anticipating? How/where will you display it? No doubt we'll see some avatars change to show proud owners posing with their wares.
The floor is yours, fellow OC* geeks.

I've opened it.
C'est magnifique.
It looks exactly like the promotional pictures. It assembles just like it does in the film. As Christopher Lee commented in the YouTube video, "It's heavier than the original." Most of the weight is in the case - which doesn't open - but what the hell, it's a prop. I had a few frustrating minutes lining up the holes in the case top and lighter slideout to take the cufflink/trigger/locking screw, but patience prevailed. How did Scaramanga do it so quickly, and out of sight under the table? (As my girlfriend observed, "he had practice.")
I also tried the (umm, you know) post-Gibson stroking on her, Jaguar, but I didn't persist, as she'd warned me last time we watched the film that she wouldn't put up with it. The fact that she puts up with my mania at all is devotion enough (she even oohed appreciatively as I assembled the thing).
If any of you have been waiting to find out whether the Golden Gun is really available and if it's worth $449 US, take it from me - your correspondent in Station C - yes, it is. It's gold, it glitters, it comes with a display case, stand and six bullets (one engraved with 007).
I swear I am not employed or affiliated with Factory Entertainment. This is not a shill. It's a testimonial from a (finally) satisfied customer.
"Let's go get 'em" while they're still available.
