How about Thora Birch reuniting with her "American Beauty" director Sam Mendes? She looks the part. She would make a good, geeky Bond girl IMO. Now that she's been fired from the Dracula stage play, she should be available.

Nope. While I respect your idea by her looks and performance in "American Beauty" and her ties to Mendes but man, would that be one boring Bond girl. Literally everything I've seen her in she plays this reclusive, self-doubting, self-questioning role that really doesn't reflect the strong Bond girl we need or deserve for that matter.

I always remember her as Enid from GHOST WORLD. Seeing her as a Bond girl would be unbelievably odd.

She's very sexy, and a brilliant actress, but for some reason I just can't picture her as a Bond girl. I think it's because I don't see her and Craig as a couple. Still, there are worse choices.

She was great in American Beauty, but I don't think she can fit in a Bond film. She's too sweet to be a Bond girl. She reminds me more of Dolly in Moonraker kind of girl rather than s true Bond girl.

No way. Dont get me wrong, I think she's gorgeous and had a huge crush on her back in the American Beauty days, but a Bond girl? Sorry, but nothing about Thora Birch really screams sophistication or glamour, she's more suited to those quirky girl-next-door sorts of roles.

I think she would be great because she is different. In today's Internet age, nerds rule and she would make an interesting, nerdy, yet sexy Bond girl. She could be some kind of geek assassin or something.

Whether you support TB or not, you have all so far demonstrated an inability to distinguish the difference between the characters she has played so far, and her ability to do something different. Just because she has been cast in the mold of the sexy geek doen't mean that that's all she's capable of doing. Playing a Bond girl could proved to be the breakout she needs to establish herself as a versatile actress.

And this coming from me, one who continues to dis on Tanya Roberts for her non-performance in AVTAK. I will admit, hovever - and with more relief than chagrin - that Ms. Roberts proved herself a very capable comic actress in her role on That 70s Show. If Thora were to be cast in a Bond film, I for one would not be the first to start up a <thorabirchnotabondgirl.com> website.

please, EON, just give us some real casting news, so that we'll know that 23 is moving forward.

I dont think shes that hot, in my mind she doesnt have the Bond Girl look. I think Diora Baird has classic good looks, she has somewhat nice acting range plus shes got a ridiculous amount of cleavage, its been awhile since a bond girl rivaled the swiss alps.
