So if you have not read George RR Martin's Song Of Fire And Ice series then shame on you. For those of you who have, HBO has put up a 10 min feature on the making of the show and I am officially in "freak the F out mode." There is just so much eye candy from the books that I'm covered in goosebumps from watching it ... yes, the books are that awesome.

Yes. Great books. The best fantasy I’ve read since Tolkien, and is superior still in some ways.
The only bit I found slightly disappointing is the casting of Sean Bean as Ned, speaking of Tolkien. I’d have preferred an unknown, or at least a big name less typecast. (And Tyrion is too handsome.)
But… no worry. It looks really good. Looks like they’re getting it right. Too bad I don’t have HBO.

I really liked Sean Bean as Ned. George R. R. Martins said he had to have two actors play certain roles if he was to make the show, Sean Bean and Peter Dinklage.
