DAf was on ITV HD today. It has usually been cut by ITV for violence but as usual ITV never have a consistent policy. It was on the afternoon so I would have thought the kiddies would be the ons to 'protect' here.
The cuts I recall and bits left in were as follows:
CUT - Bond whipping off Marie's bikini and strangling her with it. It finished at "There's something I'd like you to get off your chest"
CUT - Bond throwing the knives at the guard in the pre-credits and him falling to the ground
LEFT IN - All of the lift fight with Peter Franks. Usually ITV have removed the scenes with Peter Franks picking up and wielding the broken glass.
CUT - The top half of the dead Plenty O'toole in the pool. Probably as you can see through her top.
LEFT IN - Bond striking Tiffany. "Who's your connection?"
LEFT IN - Bond shooting the piton into the fake Blofeld's head in the penthouse.
CUT - Part of Mr Kidd being set on fire.

I watched a bit of this today. Bloody good fun. Though, I wasn't a fan of how the 'kneed-in-balls' shot was replaced with a STILL of Bambi standing. I think it was a still, it could've been an awful super slow motion shot, though.

I think it's a testament to Bond that ITV HD shows a movie from 1971.

DAF is one of those films that often gets bad comments for being too silly, and Connery's worst. True, enought, but it is actually good fun. Wint and Kidd are a particular highlight. Althought Connery's naked torso isn't.

I had Diamonds Are Forever recorded off the telly for years, (seriously, well over 10 years), when I finally
got around to buying the DVD, I was amazed at the Bond whipping off Marie's bikini scene , as I had never seen it before,
was never in the TV version I had, so was a great surprise.
It was either recorded from ITV or BBC.
