Just checked wiki for this, "Janus is the god of gates, doors, doorways, beginnings and endings, and time."

This sounds like the coolest one of them all!

I gather he was a bit two-faced, though.

"He is most often depicted as having two faces or heads, facing in opposite directions. These heads were believed to look into both the future and the past."

Waitaminute the article didn't make any reference that Janus was "two faced" in that he was a backstabber.

^so hhe was nostalgic and forward-thinking?
