Exactly in what year was "FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE" - the movie - set? Was it set during the time of the movie's release or before?

The reason I asked this question is that I discovered that the Simplon Orient Express - the train that Bond and Tania traveled toward the Adriatic Sea and the train that delivered Red Grant's body to Venice - had ceased service in 1962, the year that "DR. NO" was released. The train serviced passengers between 1919 and 1939; and also 1945 and 1962.

So, in what year was "FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE" was set?

The set of the Orient Express was built by construction designer Syd Caine. The film takes place in 1963.

Hmmm . . . that means the journey aboard the Orient Express was a major blooper. Thanks for the info.
