So for my friends on CBN I offer 2 questions
1. Do you like Daniel Craig staring in a reimagined Goldenye
2. Any other past film do you want reimagined?
1. I do
2. Sorry to George and Sean but i think On Her Majesties Secret Service and a Dark Diamonds Are Forever staring craig (with Quantum the bad guys versus Spectre) would be really interesting and honestly kinda cool.

2. I would rather have original stories tailored for a game. I don't want any movies made into a game.

No, I wouldn't. I think Craig deserves his own game. This hybrid thing seems to disrespect both Craig and the Bond he's replacing.
I pretty much agree with this statement. There's no reason they can't write their own Bond game for him. Hell they got Bruce Feirstein to adapt this one. They could have asked him to write an original. Maybe they did. The one that Bizarre is working on, perhaps he's working on that too.

1. I don't mind Craig in Goldeneye. The shooting is the fun of that game, so it could be anyone playing him.
That's one of main qualms with first person shooters and Bond.

I agree with both, It feels very wrong to me. But whatever, this game will probably fade away just like Goldeneye rouge agent. They are again trying to recapture a moment in time, the Goldeneye 64 era is gone and won't ever return.
They should have put their thinking caps on and came up with a story that fits between QOS and Bond 23. But that would have required thinking. Can you imagine if a Living Daylights game came out starring Brosnan? Dalton fans would have hated it! But since it's Craig I guess it's ok. Craig's Bond doesn't really even fit into the Goldeneye style, well Yet. We keep hearing about a more fun Bond film next.

No. I'd prefer a 3rd person sandbox GTA inspired Bond game with all current Bond actors available.

So shooting + carjacking = Bond??
Sandbox games pretty much go against everything a Bond game should be IMO. Bond should have thrilling set pieces, move from one exotic location to the next (not stuck in one boring area the whole game) and have a compelling story.
I agree, they should stop trying to resurrect the GoldenEye name. They should be thinking along the lines of Nightfire and Everything or Nothing, only updated for Craig's Bond and 2010.
Adapting films is far too constricting for game developers to deliver something fresh and exciting, unless they take liberties with the source material. They are different mediums and should be treated that way. They may as well start fresh and not butcher what has come before.

This is exactly why I have no interest in this game. Rather than trying to come up with something as good as Goldeneye, they think that by remaking it they're going to recreate the success that that game had. Don't get me wrong, I loved Goldeneye, it was something new, something exciting. You could do things in that game that you weren't able to do in FPS at the time, it was fresh and exciting. This retread is neither fresh nor exciting.

My sentiments exactly. I love GoldenEye 007 as much as anybody, but it's now a myth and I don't believe in it. It came out in 1997 and that's that. It's over. I'm also talking about the generational aspect. Got a fix? Go back and play it. That is the game and that's how it is. Primitive graphics and all. We've got to get down to reality and move on. It's not the be all and end all. Make something else. It's called progress. Soon they'll be remaking this "remake".This is exactly why I have no interest in this game. Zukovsky's club, for example, will now be a playable level.
Good!

I don't mind, since there was a GE game with Pierce before, and all this is just a videogame. If there has never been a GE game before, and Activision does a game of that film with Dan instead of Pierce, that'd really drive me mad!
2. Any other past film do you want reimagined?
Perhaps TSWLM or YOLT. But keeping the original story and starring their respective Bond for voice and likeness.

"Ostriches?"
No, hoshtagesh!"
"Sausages?"
"Hoshtagesh, dammit!"
"Look, maybe you should go back home and tell your people to send someone who speaks English..."

Agree, lets move forward and have original game plots away from movie ties...i enjoyed Agent under Fire, Nightfire (in particular) and EoN so I am sure it is possible.

Everyone keeps calling Nightfire original.... Am I the only one who realizes the plot is EXTREMELY similar to Moonraker.
I'd love video games based on previous film.
Honestly even if George doesn't want to lend his voice to On her majesties secret service (or likeness which would make sense he hates video games) I'd Still want them to do it (with Dalton who tried but didn't get it or Daniel Craig re imagined for today)
It's such a cool film that would make an awesome game honestly.

Anyway, the plots are there, but just make a new game. Then there's a blank canvass and no baggage, confusion or clashing. And everything associated with OHMSS - be it the novel, film or soundtrack, is outstanding, and I wouldn't want to risk that streak with a dud game.

there was a quote of his back in 99 in the "James bond story film" where he basically flat out says he hates technology and games.Since when did Lazenby say he hated video games?
Goldeneye is almost showcasing Activision to have Balls. I'm hoping I get to play Texas hold em in Zurkofsky's Club.
Video games can (when done right) be nice additions to films. But to be fair when are they ever done right. (Goldeneye 64 and Batman begins for PS2 are the only 2 I can think of)
I'm hopefully optimistic with Goldeneye 2010..

Tend to agree with this too. I'm still undecided on which side of the fence I'm on for the new Goldeneye, whilst it looks slick it's still a tad disrespectful to Pierce. The FRWL game was an interesting idea, and generally worked out, although I'd much prefer original ideas. They managed ok making Agent Under Fire, Nightfire and Everything or Nothing so I'm sure a stand-alone Craig game should be in order. No, I wouldn't. I think Craig deserves his own game. I would be fine with other Bond games based on the older films.
I do wonder if this means that Craig would have to be Bond in those titles though.
From Russia With Love came out in 2005? Wasn't this after Pierce had been let go and before Daniel was hired?

Actually, if done right that would be interesting. It's kinda bad that we can't "re-do" the Bronsan era completely film-wise also.

I've always preferred Dark and realistic this isn't new for me.Why's everybody got this "uber-dark" fetish?
Besides the last 2 bond and batman films were dark and people loved them I assume that is why.

What I would like to see, however, is something that someone already mentioned earlier in either this thread or another, which would be an open world game (similar to GTA) in which you could pick which Bond you wanted to play the game as and the whole thing was based around an original story idea rather than going back and ruining another film in the franchise the way they ruined FRWL.

I would like an adaption of Colonel sun to be the next video game personally.I'd rather they stay away from "re-imagining" the other films. The re-imagining of From Russia With Love was such a complete disaster that I'd rather not see them desecrate the memory of any of the other films.
