Good interview with Pierce from more than a few years ago on Letterman when his second film came out so his comment "it pissed me off" is not about being replaced.
I also am wondering now what ever became of the second Thomas Crown film that was suppose to happen??? I did enjoy that film and he was really good in it.
Great visuals, hi tech and seeing a guy "getting away with it" is always fun.

There's a thread on here spanning 8 pages and six years which details the torturous process. Long story short; they couldn't agree on a concept, and in the time spent debating any commercial prospects the film might have had dwindled to nothing.
