Here is a YouTube link to an interview with Connery giving a positive view of Craig before CR came out.
He did this after he saw it as well but this is better and I hope Craig knows about it.
I wonder if Craig and Connery have talked?

No, he didnĀ“t. He has had talks with Brosnan and Moore, but not Connery.

The only thing I can think of is that Nixon was Vice President in the previous admistration before Kennedy. So maybe tricky Dick was working his magic way back then?

In '61? He did it in '71, but as VP under Eisenhower? Somebody's stretching things.

I guess Seans memory is a little off if that is the case. But if that is true about his point of devaluation, who did it and when and how did it affect the budget of a british film? Nothing American about Dr. No?

Connery probably had a little mind B). He was probably thinking how Nixon devaluing the dollar had an effect on his $1million salary for DAF

British film crew, director, lead actors etc - but Bond is American money. Financed by the studio. They put up the dollars, and Connery was pointing out that due to the exchange rate, that ended up as less than a million pounds budget in the end.

Glad to see Connery seems to like Craig....or at least at the time he did.
