Ooooh - nice one, Jim. Could be a very surreal psychadelic title sequence.

Something I have always wanted to see, admittedly.

Have an idea for the pre-titles sequence but I suspect that may get claimed before it's my next go.

Unfortunately it may - but if not you could keep it until the next round unless it's plot specific, in which case you could submit it as a post-title sequence action piece, kinda like how CR had the Madagascar segment and QOS had the footchase in Italy if it's possible to do that.

Looks like we have 7/10 of the needed participants before we move on to the next round. Hopefully dinovelvet will drop by, as he's been a regular over the last few rounds, and perhaps a few mystery guests? :P

Well now that we have an American villain and Bond's brother from Langley, it seems only natural that someone should submit a U.S. locale.

My hometown! :D

Oh yeah? I went there recently, seems like a lot of potential for Bond-like actitivies, e.g. abseiling down the Sears tower, fighting on top of an L-train, randomly standing in front of The Bean for no reason etc etc, and of course Felix buying Bond a hot dog

Cool location - not the US location I was going to propose, but an excellent one nonetheless. I can totally picture Bond being bought a hot dog from a street vendor by Felix and taking one bite then dumping it in a nearby trashcan.

Is the Sears Tower tall enough to base-jump from?

That makes nine unique participants by my count (am I right?) - one more and we should open the gates to the next submission.

If not the Sears Tower, the Trump Tower is an interesting location:

Not as tall as the Sears Tower, but impressive nonetheless.

Wow. Maybe we could use both - the usual Gala Event (a la the Tierra Project Benefit in QOS) at the Trump Tower but Bond meeting a contact or chasing someone up there (a bit like the Eiffel Tower sequence in AVTAK, perhaps) at the Sears Tower, perhaps?

I hope we get out tenth participant before I go to bed, I've got a cracker of an idea and I don't want to miss out on submitting it!

I'm guessing computer hacking can be sexy? Can't it? I'd imagine one of our main Bond girls could be a computer hacker or programmer of some description.

It's never worked, and I don't believe it ever will.

Either way, it's practically been done to the death. The Mission Impossible films, Tron, Wargames, Hackers, Pirates of Silicon Valley, The Net, The Matrix Trilogy, Antitrust, Die Hard 4, The Thirteenth Floor, The Italian Job (God awful 2003 remake), Swordfish, eXistenZ, The Score, Revolution OS etc...

The culture and its idiom, is bland, emotionally anaemic and sexless - No matter how much you try to dress it up with Hollywood gloss.

I think that the concept of Bond going up against an anonymous threat such as this would be a good extension of the whole Bond vs. Quantum storyline that has been going on. Quantum "has people everywhere", and this is very much an extension of that.

And I've got a nifty little idea to extrapolate something CT has mentioned and something coco1997 mentioned to me in a PVT into a rather nice little plot thread that I will post the suggestion for later. I also hope we have our tenth participant by then so I can put forward for my next idea!

True enough, but there was an interesting angle being developed in that comic A Silent Armageddon about a self-aware virus being the villain. Sorry if even mentioning that has disrupted anyone's idea for the game, as to what Quantum actually is.

Oh yeah, A SILENT ARMAGEDDON had some quite interesting stuff going on. And this story makes tech stuff all very topical.

The trick is avoiding a DIE HARD 4.0-esque scenario, or having lots of scenes of people tapping away on their computers. The way it's been written up so far suggests that's how things are leaning.

It's not the way things are going in my head - the computer stuff is something much grander that CT has suggested.

I don't really see it going in that direction either. I kind of see the villain as being someone who is much more hands-on than Olyphant's villain in LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, who basically just sat in his control center barking orders at others through a headset. To me, this villain could be someone who, while he has significant skill in the whole cyber crime arena, is also right out in the forefront of the physical aspects of the crimes he's committing. Rather than someone who just sits in front of a computer and watches things fall apart digitally from a distance, he could be on the front lines causing even more chaos on the scene while other things are going on behind the scenes in the cyber arena. I'm thinking something along the lines of a villain in a similar vein to Nolan's Joker, but with extensive knowledge of computers and on a global scale rather than just confined to one city.

The plot concept I mentioned that I'd been discussing with coco1997 was extrapolated from the comment CT made about MMORPG being involved in gold mining. coco1997 mentioned something about the element thorium and mining it as a possible idea for a future Bond project which struck me that it could serve as a replacement for gold mining - so that the villain is doing something online to achieve a monopoly on thorium.

This struck me as interesting because of the fact that thorium ties into a device known as a molten salt reactor - which in turn (something I have only just discovered) actually ties into the field I was going to fill in during my next input into.

Since we've been moved and since I know several of you are chomping at the bits with ideas - let's throw the gauntlet open for everyone's second turn.

1 Bond - Daniel Craig
2 Bond Girl 1 (Main ie Vesper/Camille):
3 Bond Girl 2 (Minor ie Solange/Fields):
4 Bond Girl 3 (Background Girl): Dita Von Teese as Rusty Shafts (I'm imagining taking advantage of Dita Von Teese's background as a burlesque dancer in some fashion, the name specified would be her stage name - this might lead to a joke, it might not)
