Checking out his bio on Wikipedia to see what else he has been in, I noticed that he still looks damn good despite his age -- if anything, he appears more rugged than ever, with a certain Connery aspect.
Question: Could you see Hedison making a final appearance in a Bond film, perhaps as an American ally? And if so, would you be for, or against?

I wouldn't mind having him come back and play some type of U.S. government official. I love his voice.

I thought this thread was going to be about bringing him back as Felix Leiter.
I would actually be for that, if the opportunity were right. However, he would have to be paired with an older Bond, which, clearly, isn't in the cards.
Why not have him blackface as Felix Leiter?
"They DYED me this color."
Erm... negative.

I recently watched the pilot episode of "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" -- starring none other than David Hedison.
Yes, he was particularly Bondian in the way he infiltrated the complex and sneaked onto the Seaview to test out security.

Judi Dench has been held over from the pre reboot era to add a certain "continuity". Adding David Hedison would be a nice touch, provided there was a real need in the movie concerned for his character.

Why not as Felix Leiter's boss? The US equivalent of "M" - the head of the CIA.

Put him in as Leiter's boss and Tim Dalton is as M

I like it.
Unlike Dalton or Connery "cameos," run-of-the-mill Bond filmgoers would have no idea who he is. It would be a quiet treat for true fans. And -- he's a bonafide actor, to boot.

I could go for that as well. If they could bring Dench back as M in the reboot, then certainly they could bring back Hedison in some other role.
